The evolution in materials’ technology in the last decades resulted in interesting projects that aimed at preserving the environment and energy and reduce pollution. They have been taken the principles of environmental design as a basis for architectural thought, starting from the early stages of the design process ending in choosing appropriate building materials to achieve sustainable buildings, but these trying are limited in our local environment and there isn’t demanded seriousness. The administration buildings is a distinctive and important types of building classification Because of its importance stems from its areas , and the number of occupants ,whether from employees or public works intended for these buildings . This study concern with a new technology to modified the compressive strength of the thermo brick which have a main role in construction field. This research using a new local cheap additives called (tar) which is available in Iraq (Kirkuk area). The experimental program have include three type of thermo brick available in local market (Iraqi, KSA, and Kuwaiti) and these type are common used in south area of Iraq especially Basrah City. The sample has exposed to the steam of tar in different temperature. Four affecting factor are studied carefully on compressive strength of brick including, tar , brick manufacture type, number of exposing faces of brick, and the age of brick after finishing expose of brick to the tar steam. The result shows maximum compressive strength conducted are 4.4 MPa when two faces expose to tar and two hours' time of exposing (one hour for each face) and the modified percentage was 62% compared with reference sample (KSA type). The improvement in compressive strength of Iraqi type and Kuwaiti were 27% and 45% respectively. Furthermore the improvement of compressive strength with same condition aforementioned but for one hour exposing time (half hour on each face) are 37.5%. The chemical properties also has conducted in this study.

İnsanın barınma arayışı ev ile neticelenmiştir. Ev mimarisi doğal imkânlar kadar toplumun yaşam biçiminden de izler taşır. Bununla beraber evin kendisi de insanı bir hayat tarzına zorlar. Modernite ile birlikte birçok alanda değişim yaşanmıştır. Değişimin görüldüğü alanlardan biri de kuşkusuz ev mimarisidir. Bugünün ev mimarisi geleneksel evlerden farklı olarak geniş ailenin ikametinden ziyade çekirdek ailenin yerleşmesini ve mahremiyetten öte bireyselleşmeyi dikkate almaktadır. Ayrıca modern ev mimarisinde dinî referanslar bir tarafa bırakılarak modern değerler ve tüketim kültürü etkili olmaktadır. Böylelikle sosyal bir varlık olan insanın ontolojisiyle çelişkili bir durum ortaya çıkmakta, insan yalnızlaşıp, mutsuzlaşmaktadır. Öte yandan bireyselleşme merkezli bir mimari aile içerisinde sosyal değerlerin ve dinî inancın yaşanıp aktarılmasında bir takım engellere neden olabilmektedir. Oysa toplumsal değerlerin ve dinî inancın kökleşmesi bakımından aile içi iletişimin ve paylaşımın yoğunluğu önemlidir. Modern mimarinin doğurduğu olumsuz bazı sonuçları aşmada geleneksel Türk evi bir imkân olarak belirmektedir.

The research study mechanism of achieving sustainable design and its principles which are (Economy of Resources-Sustainable Life Cycle for Buildings-Humane Design) And taking advantage of the latest technological tools such as nanotechnology to achieve the sustainability of the 21st century. The research also dealt with the applications of nanotechnology at architecture which crystallized by the full integration of architectural thought, its reflected on the methods of architecture design, in addition to the integration with all construction and non-construction materials, as a result of that we have got a new materials more solid, tough compared to conventional materials, as well as the role of nanotechnology at thriftiness Energy and its production. The integration of nanotechnology with building materials has given us an opportunity to achieve comprehensive sustainability. Several trends have emerged supporting the use of Nano material for promote sustainability, such as biological architecture, ecological architecture and intelligent nanostructures. These trends represent a perfect harmony between sustainable design and nanotechnology; Which promises promising future prospects for the construction industry to acquire the sustainability of buildings for a better built environment.
