Abstract
Cilj rada je pregled dosadašnjih teorijskih promišljanja i istraživanja provedenih o konceptu pametnog starenja. Objašnjava se model ESHTAM koji proučava spremnost na korištenje tehnologije u starijoj dobi te navode načini prihvaćanja koncepta pametnog starenja uz korištenje tehnologije, ali i bez nje. Razmatra se poboljšanje kvalitete života u starijoj dobi kroz kognitivnu stimulaciju, fizičku aktivnost i uravnoteženu prehranu te kako je moguće iskoristiti pomoć moderne tehnologije pri povećanju kognitivne funkcionalnosti, fizičkog napretka i socijalne uključenosti starijih osoba. Analizira se provedba pametnog stanovanja te utjecaj koncepta pametnog starenja na zdravstveni sustav. Rad obuhvaća i raspravu o etičkim dilemama povezanim s korištenjem tehnologije s osobama starije životne dobi.
