Abstract
The primary objective of the European Sport Leadership Programme (ESLP) was to improve good governance in university sport, through the training of carefully selected students to promote and increase physical activity among the university population. As part of this, the aims were to promote voluntary activity in sport, and to provide quality training to improve leadership in sport. It is important to highlight the innovative aspects of the proposal, which is designed to meet a number of needs present in European universities. ESLP is a pioneering project in the governance of university sport at a European level and takes into account various areas of university sport strategy, from participation or recreation to the elite. This proposal also implements an innovative sports leadership programme with the dual objective of increasing opportunities for students to be active, while allowing them to gain valuable opportunities to help improve their overall employability as future graduat...

Effective leadership is essential in any sports organisation, both in the boardroom and on the training pitch. Leadership in Sport is the first textbook to examine sports leadership in the world, across both management and coaching environments. It includes a section dedicated to underpinning core leadership theories, and employs a number of case studies throughout to show how best practice is applied in real world settings. Drawing on expertise from some of the leading academics and practitioners throughout the world, and from both disciplines, the book covers various leadership issues including: n facilitative leadership n strategic leadership n leading effective change n diversity in leadership n communication and empathy n motivation and performance. Key conceptual questions-the nature of leadership, its role in sport, styles of leadership, what constitutes ineffective leadership-and other contemporary issues are also explored to give students and practitioners the most complete and clear picture of contemporary leadership in sport. With useful features in every chapter, such as key terms and review questions, this is an essential text for sport management or coaching degree courses.

In departing from previous calls, this action targeted a specific topic area (sport leadership, i.e., the topic of leadership in sport management), and, urged scholars to consider new and innovative approaches. For us, this said two things: sport leadership carries major significance for our field, and, we need a 'booster shot' of published research in sport leadership that is a step change in the evolution of leadership scholarship for sport management. By 2022, there will be a total of 3005 universities nationwide, and the number of freshmen admitted in a single year will exceed 7.9 million. The popularization of university development has made outstanding contributions to the development of the regional economy. Every year, a large number of college students graduate to work in enterprises. For enterprises, the employees they want should have certain leadership. Teachers need conscious training to improve their leadership while teaching. The growth ways of leadership mainly include theoretical study, practice, repeated experiments, guidance from others, etc. In practice, students are required to develop their leadership skills by participating in activities or community activities organized by the school or class. This paper will use the methods of literature research, investigation, and logical analysis to analyze the leadership training of college students, and find out what the impact of students' sports competition organization planning on leadership skills is. This will provide a theoretical basis for leadership practice and physical education, as well as a reference for students how to improve their leadership.

Abstract: The European Union stresses the importance of sport as a tool for social and economic development, although there are still few intervention programmes that have been analyzed, it is justified that this type of programme should be carried out in universities. The main objective of this intervention was to analyze whether significant differences would occur after the programme intervention in the analyzed transversal competences of the student volunteers as a measure of involvement. Participated 61 university students (29 female and 32 males, Mage = 23.20 years, SDage = 9.79). Two tests were carried out, at the beginning of the intervention (pre-test) and after 24 months of the intervention (post-test). There were improvements from pre-test to post-test in organization and planning (Δ = .07, d = .35), management of knowledge and information (Δ = .10, d = .32), emotional control (Δ = .09, d = .39), autonomous work (Δ = 0.03, d = .40) and adaptation to new situations (Δ = 0.0...
