CHANGE? LINE UP ANNOUNCED Dylan Haskin's and the 'Office of Public Works' collective are transforming Project Arts Centre in to a hive of activity from 26 - 31 January. Change? is organised entirely by young people and will offer a week of film, open exhibitions and plenty of talk around ideas on the notion of change and what it means to us. Change? is taking place in the Cube daily. During the day working group made up of third level and transition year students will assess photographs submitted with the brief to capture unused potential in the city. From these photographs the groups will set about to realise that potential. Work will take place from 12noon to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and members of the public are invited to come in and observe this work in progress. Roll Up Your Sleeves (2008, 27 mins, Ire) a documentary directed by Dylan Haskins and produced by Project Arts Centre will also be showing daily, every 30 minutes, from 11am, in a two-person, purpose built video pod located in the Foyer. During the evening a series of moderated discussions will take place. These are open to the public, free of charge, and audiences are encouraged to engage with and bring questions to the discussions. Each discussion will start at 7.30pm sharp every evening and will last no longer than 2 hours. Please see a full schedule of the discussions below: Monday 26 January: What does ‘change’ mean? With Desmond Fennell (Distinguished thinker and author) Tuesday 27 January: Protest: Fresh effective vehicles for change. With Nell McCafferty (Journalist, author, playwright) Wednesday 28 January: Arts For Social Change With Margaretta D’Arcy (Filmmaker, activist, playwright & radio pirate) & Will Saint Leger (“Artivist”, Dublin based street artist and activist) Thursday 29 January: Community Activism: change from the bottom up.
