Homeworld:
Celegia
Height:
1.7 - 2.2 meters tall

The diverse life-forms of the galaxy encompass all shapes and forms -- not just the commonly encountered humanoid figures seen on many worlds. The Celegians are a species of intelligent scyphozoans, appearing as floating brains trailing a cluster of prehensile tentacles. They are a species renowned for their wisdom and intellect.

Celegians evolved from ocean-dwelling ancestors, and developed a natural form of levitation not unlike an organic repulsorlift generator. Their homeworld of Celegia is choked by a cyanogen atmosphere, which is lethal to most species. The Celegians require it to live, and common oxygen is toxic to their kind. As such, when they travel offworld, they are usually encased in a life-support chamber filled with cyanogen, their natural floating abilities making them appear as if they are afloat in a watery brine.

Celegians are often looking to expand their knowledge, and are natural explorers who have ventured far from their world. Their fragile form, though, keeps them from interacting too often with others, and as such, they are not commonly encountered.
