In the past, Christology has also included the work of Christ, now more usually treated separately as soteriology” (p. 137). Ferguson and Wright (2003) observe that “the importance of Christology for Christianity is obvious, since without Jesus Christ, the religion named after him would never have emerged” (p. 137). This paper discusses Christological issues in the book of Revelation.

On a daily basis, persons who claim to be prophets and bear the title are heard on the Ghanaian airwaves. This is a growing phenomenon. Some of the comments, claims and antics of some self - styled prophets have over time given some cause for concern. Many have raised eyebrows and have had cause to question the relevance of the prophetic ministry in our time based on the afore-stated observations and on theological basis. The raging debate has been whether the prophetic ministry is relevant in Ghana. This paper seeks to explore issues arising from this debate and proffers a personal stand based on the exploration. However, before launching into the debate, some consideration will be given the prophetic ministry as can be deduced from the Bible. This will serve as a launching pad into the debate.

The latter schism has been generally referred to as the 16th century Reformation. Certain individuals from different geographical locations, notable amongst them being Martin Luther, John Calvin, Ulrich Zwingli and John Knox led the charge (Cairns, 1996; Houghton, 1980). This paper essentially focuses on the contributions of John Calvin and John Knox.

It was a long-fought battle with its vicissitudes but Athanasius dedicated his life and ministry to a cause he was fully convinced was in accord with God’s will. In this paper, the impressive contribution of the famed Athanasius towards the triumph of the Orthodox Nicene faith over Arianism is discussed.

It appears much of the Church allowed paganism with all of its moral decadence to creep into its fold. Some Christians who were disgusted by this trend and seeking to guard against worldly influences opted to be monks; living in seclusion to seek greater fellowship with God. In the midst of all these, certain persons were raised by God to play key roles in advancing his kingdom. Notable figures who were used mightily by God during this period includes Jerome (c. 342-420), Ambrose of Milan (c. 339-397), John Chrysostom (c. 347-407) and Eusebius of Caesarea (c. 260-340) (Kelly, 1995). This paper focuses on the life, ministry and legacy of John Chrysostom.

One of the notable areas of contention and a constant target for attack particularly for the last two centuries has been the inerrancy of the Bible. This paper seeks to give some consideration to both sides of the debate but with an eventual bent towards making a good case for the inerrancy of the Bible.

How true is their claim? This paper explores this subject briefly.
