
Evgeny Prusov
Received a Ph.D. from Vladimir State University (Russia) in 2012 and now a Leading Researcher and Associate Professor at Vladimir State University, in the Department of Functional and Constructional Materials Technology. Founder & CEO of Scientific and Technological Centre "Composite", a scientific and technological center, which was founded in 2018. The main areas of investigation include the theory and technology of cast metal matrix composites. Research interests also include thermodynamic simulation and its application to light alloys design, zinc antifriction alloys, and composites.
Delivered over 100 viva-voce presentations in Russia and abroad and published more than 200 contributions over the last ten years, over 60 of which are in peer-reviewed international and national journals. Several papers have appeared in various high-impact journals, including the Journal of Alloys and Compounds (Elsevier), Nanomaterials (MDPI), Ceramics International (Elsevier), Metals (MDPI), and many others. Technical developments and inventions are protected by 17 patents. In particular, developed and patented an innovative method for producing cast metal matrix composites by liquid-phase reaction synthesis.
A recognized expert, elected as a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Member of the Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia, International Association of Engineers, World Association for Online Education, International Association of Innovation Professionals, and many other reputable professional societies.
Invited to speak at multiple professional meetings in Europe, including METAL in 2013, 2017, and 2018 in the Czech Republic, “Foundry” in 2014, 2016, and 2017 in Bulgaria, World Foundry Congress in 2018 in Poland, and many others. A member of Scientific Committees of major international events, such as MPCPE 2020 (Russia), TPAP 2020 (China), ICAMS 2020 (India), etc.
Recognized as a key community leader and researcher and have received numerous awards for several achievements. Among these recent awards are the Winner’s Diploma of the all-Russian contest “Golden Names of Higher Education” in 2019, Diploma of Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences in 2019, and the prestigious “Best Scientific Paper” award of the World Foundry Organization in 2018.
