Recent observation of fish mortalities floating on the surface of Bandar Hilir (city center) section of Melaka River (Latitude 2.194871, Longitude 102.248950) but none in the section of the river close to the open sea (latitude 2.193556, Longitude 102.247048) necessitated research into the cause. This work looks into heavy metal contamination as a possible cause. It also presents the use of wastewater culture method for growing an indigenous microalga Scenedesmus sp. while simultaneously serving as a means for bioremediation of the river water. Water sample from the two sections were collected for laboratory analysis. In the current study, a co-precipitation method was used to prepare Cobalt doped TiO2 nanoparticles at various Cobalt percentages (4%, 5%, 6%, and 7% w/w). Titanium tetra isopropoxide (TTIP) and cobalt nitrate were used as starting precursors for titanium dioxide and Co nanoparticles, respectively. The gained products were calcined at 500°C to observe three phases (anatase, brookite, and rutile) of TiO2. The analysis of crystal phase structure, average crystallite size, hkl planes, the lattice constant, and volume of the unit cell of Cobalt doped TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) was carried under X-ray diffraction (XRD). This chapter aimed to focus on green-synthesized nanoparticles and their medical applications. Moreover, the chapter highlighted the applicability of the metallic nanoparticles (MNPs) in the inactivation of microbial cells due to their high surface and small particle size. Modifying nanomaterials produced by green-methods is safe, inexpensive, and easy. Therefore, the control and modification of nanoparticles and their properties were also discussed.

In that paper now, The procedure to fabricate polystyrene/silica (PS/SiO2) hybrid hollow spheres did successfully combine by precipitation technique, which was then used to react with silica nanoparticles that were prepared by the sol-gel method to fabricate PS/SiO2 nanocomposite. Four Point Probe, Transition electron microscopy (TEM), and XRD are used to analyze the physical, chemical, optical properties and electric of polystyrene/SiO2 nanocomposites. The experimental effects indicate the possibilities for PS/SiO2 to be used as biomaterials, coating and catalyst materials.

PS/Ag nanocomposite was successfully synthesized using ex-situ mix solution technique. One of the promising structures of ceramic electrolyte in solid state battery is the NASICON structure composed of 3 dimensional frameworks (s.g. R-3c). In this study, Li-ion conducting mixed metal phosphate Li 1+2x Ta 1-x Al x+1 (PO 4 ) 3 , L Ta A P-x(x = 0 ~ 0.5) solid electrolyte that possess rhombohedra NASICON structure was prepared via conventional solid state reaction techniques at various sintering temperature ranging from 700–1000°C for 12 h at 5°C per minute heating and cooling rate. Due to that, there has been a renewal of interest in solar cells fabrication field based on Cu2O material. In this work, pure cuprous oxide and silver nanoparticles doped cuprous oxide (0.02, 0.04, 0.06 wt.%) films were prepared via thermal evaporation technique with a thickness of 60 nm. The structural, morphological, optical, and electrical properties of the films have been studied by characterization instruments such as X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), UV-Visible spectrophotometer, and I-V characteristic. Polysytrene CPS) nanospheres used in NSL can be modified in three schemes: Electron beam, heat and chemical manipulation techniques. The most successful scheme to modify nanosphere structures is by the electron beam manipulation technique. Using electron beam irradiation, both the size and shape of the nanospheres can be modified in a controlled manner. An ordered array of spheres can be modified by electron beam irradiation to create a pattern otherwise not available through selfassembly alone. Mechanisms of polymer degradation induced by energetic electrons are discussed. Ammonium sulfate (APS) and hydrochloric acid (HCl) were applied as oxidizer, derivative and organic solvent respectively. (FESEM), X-ray diffraction and (FTIR) techniques applied to product analysis. FESEM events confirm that polyaniline contains nanoparticles in the (7-11) nm range which is an Asymptotic to the results of XRD. The XRD results show the amorphous properties from polyaniline nanoparticles, as the FTIR result confirmed the production from polyaniline at different molar monomer-oxidation rates. The investigated UV-visible spectrum and the measured conductivity of 2.2 x 10-1 S.m-1 by Four Points probe. This investigation provides greater knowledge about the preparation of regular nanoparticles for polyaniline through inter polymerization.

A preliminary study leading to this research has been carried out. A Q-switch Nd:YAG laser with 1064 nrn and 532 nm wavelength and 4 ns pulse duration was employed as a source of energy. The laser was focused using a single lens technique. Some variable were used in this laser plasma characterization studies including range of lenses with different focal length, different laser frequency and laser energy. In preliminary studies, the plasma , generated at the focal region was detected and analyzed using video camera in conjunction of image processing system and interferornetric technique. The First principle study based on Density Function Theory (DFT) was accomplished to explore the ... more The First principle study based on Density Function Theory (DFT) was accomplished to explore the electronic bandgap configurations of KNbO3 by transition metal doping such as Iron [Fe], and Nickel [Ni] using PBE-GGA (Perdew–Burke–Ernzerhof- Generalized Gradient Approximation) for the exchange-correlation potentials. In the current study K1−xYxNbO3 doped with various percentages (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%) of [Ni] and [Fe] metal ions. Different unique properties such as electronic, optical conductivity, and magnetic properties of cubic K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compounds have been calculated through the FP-LAW WEIN2k software within DFT. The bandgap of KNbO3 can be reduced by doping various metal ions such as [Ni] and [Fe]. The spin up band structures was observed semiconductor but spin down metallic behaviour. The bandgap structure of overall K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compound after doping [Fe] and [Ni] with various concentrations become half metallic compound. Under the DFT scheme, iron [Fe] and nickel [Ni] are reliable as dopants for reducing the bandgap of KNbO3. After substituting various impurity concentration (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%) of [Fe] and [Ni] the energy absorption peaks are 8.2 to 8.43eV for K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni). It is also observed that optical conductivity starting points shift towards the large energy because of bandgap enhancement when the doping concentration (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%) of [Fe] and [Ni] increased in K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compound. Magnetic moment was increasing 1.00153 to 3.02210 μB by the increment of doping [Fe] and [Ni] concentrations. K1−xYxNbO3(Y = Fe, Ni) compounds are appropriate perovskite oxides materials for promising optical, magnetic and photovoltaic device applications.
