Since information systems become more and more important in today's society, business firms, orga... more Since information systems become more and more important in today's society, business firms, organizations, and individuals rely on these systems to manage their daily business and social activities. The dependency of possibly critical business processes on complex IT systems requires a strategy that supports IT departments in reducing the time needed to implement changed or new domain requirements of functional departments. In this context, software models help to manage system's complexity and provide a tool for communication and documentation purposes. Moreover, software engineers tend to use automated software model processing such as code generation to improve development and maintenance processes. Particularly in the context of web-based information systems, a number of model driven approaches were developed. However, we believe that compared to the user interface layer and the persistency layer, there could be a better support of consistent approaches providing a suitable architecture for the consistent model driven development of business logic.

The created models are a constitutive part of the software specification that serves as guideline for the implementation and the test of software systems. In order to verify the functionality which is defined within the specification documents, the domain experts need to perform an acceptance test. Hence, they have to generate test cases for the acceptance test. Since domain experts usually have a low level of software engineering knowledge, the test case generation process is challenging and error-prone. In this paper we propose an approach to generate high-level acceptance test plans automatically from business processes. These processes are modeled as UML Activity Diagrams (ACD). Our method enables the application of an all-path coverage criterion to business processes for testing software systems.

Dies bezieht sich insbesondere auf die Übermittlung von Auftrags-und Transportdaten, sowie auf Daten, die zur Auftragsfortschrittskontrolle dienen. In dieser Arbeit werden zunächst einige am Markt verfügbare Systeme vorgestellt und mit ihren Vor-und Nachteilen präsentiert. Im Anschluss wird das Kommunikationssystem vorgestellt, das im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts "Mobile Spedition im Web (SpiW) 1 " entwickelt wird. Dieses Kommunikationssystem soll als Zusatzmodul in eine bestehende IT-Infrastruktur eines Speditionsunternehmens eingebunden werden. Da das Kommunikationssystem eine offene Schnittstelle anbietet, kann es mit verschiedenen Speditionslogistiksystemen integriert werden, jedoch wird hier die Unterstützung der Schnittstelle seitens des Speditionslogistiksystems vorausgesetzt. Durch eine spezielle Workflow-Engine kann das Kommunikationssystem leicht an die unterschiedlichen Arbeitsabläufe in verschiedenen Speditionsunternehmen angepasst werden.

Since the WWW infrastruc- ture provides only very coarse data exchange mechanisms, we introduce a notation for the design of fine-grained conditional data flows between user interface components. These specifications can be interpreted by a data flow controller that automatically provides the data entities to the specified receivers at run-time, relieving developers of the need to implement user interface data flows manually.
