The aim of this research was to determine the correlation between emotional dependence and happin... more The aim of this research was to determine the correlation between emotional dependence and happiness on students of a private university of South Lima. The sample was drawn on 374 university students. (49.7 % were women and 50.3% of them were men).The target participants belonged to the careers of Psychology, System Engineering, Accounting, Administration and Law, ages ranging between 17 and 45 years old. This research work was not experimental and correlational cross design. The instruments used were the Emotional Scale Unit (ACCA, 2013) and the happiness Scale (EFL, 2006). The results showed that the level of emotional dependence and happiness sample overall was average (7.01 y 84.18, respectively). Also it was found that no significant differences at the level of emotional dependence varies according to gender or age, but if the level of the career, with the students from the Engineering System which obtained a higher score, while those who had the lowest scores were students of the career of Psychology. A level of happiness variable, significant differences by gender were found to be the men who scored highest.
