This paper presents a real-time system for ball detection and tracking system which is reliable i... more This paper presents a real-time system for ball detection and tracking system which is reliable in any conditions. Images from the webcam are processed by openCV library running on a Raspberry Pi to move the camera pan and tilt servo and two DC motors to drive the robot body using the Arduino Nano microcontroller.  The webcam is integrated in a robot prototype to represent the wheel football robot type. The results show that a ball tracking webcam system is obtained with the capability to detect a ball with a diameter of 17cm within a maximum distance of 200 cm, a stable ball reading when the light intensity is at 32 lux and above. Furthermore, the experimental results demonstrated the system’s robustness in detecting and tracking ball in different distance and ligthing conditions.

Dalam dunia industri proses pemindahan barang masih menggunakan tenaga manusia sehingga membutuhk... more Dalam dunia industri proses pemindahan barang masih menggunakan tenaga manusia sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan pengelolaan inventarisasi stok gudang yang masih secara manual, maka pada penelitian ini dirancang sebuah alternatif solusi untuk membuat robot berbasis mikrokontroler untuk mengangkut barang dan monitoring stok gudang. Robot yang telah dibuat menggunakan sensor warna untuk mengenal dummy box dengan tiga kategori warna (merah, hijau, biru), perangkat sensor Infrared obstacle digunakan untuk mendeteksi lintasan robot, driver motor untuk kendali laju robot dan motor servo untuk menggerakkan gripper (penjepit). Robot ini berjalan mengikuti sebuah garis hitam (line follower) menuju tempat pengambilan barang, robot akan mengambil dan mendeteksi warna dummy box kemudian memindahkan pada tempat yang sudah ditentukan sesuai warna. Database untuk inventarisasi stok gudang dirancang dengan menggunakan aplikasi MySQL. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa robot yang dibangun telah dapat melakukan kegiatan mengangkut barang, mendeteksi jenis barang, melakukan monitoring terhadap stok gudang secara otomatis. Sistem database robot pengangkut barang untuk monitoring stok gudang yang dibuat sebagai pusat sistem informasi dapat memperbaharui dan merekam data secara realtime, sehingga meningkatkan efektivitas proses monitoring stok gudang.

Realization of a shared-resources environment is experimented in software system network by virtualization technique. Control parameter regulates the resources provisioning among the users to guarantee the achievement of performance metrics in the network. The objective preferences are maintained in relative term by manipulating a finite set of operating points as the control states. Moreover, an optimization procedure is implemented based on receding horizon prediction of MPC in a feedback control scheme. Further investigation is conducted to examine the performance of optimal FCS and constrained FCS for dynamic system management. The experimental results demonstrate that constrained FCS system provides a better response stability than the optimal FCS. Early detection is prominent to avoid the tooth weakening or worst the tooth loss. UV absorption spectroscopy is a non-invasive techniqueused for the detection of salivary alpha-amylase which are increasing in the presence of caries. Spectrum acquired from patient at Faculty of dentistry, UKM showed significant peak around 260-300nm which are correspond to the absorption of amino acid found in salivary alpha-amylase.The spectra arepreprocesses using autoscale and multiplicative scatter correction (MSC) to optimize the signal. Decision tree algorithm was implemented on the UV absorption spectra. The best model of decision tree obtained when using autoscale preprocessing method. The accuracy, precision, sensitivity and specificity for the validation data obtained were 0.70, 1.00, 0.14and 1.00 respectively. The decision tree requiresmore tuning for the robustness for future application.

Information can be received, confirmed, tracked, stored and distributed digitally. Electronic data includes, among others, registrant identities, collection of presentation material, scheduling and review system. Applications created can be accessed through a mobile system and on a desktop application. This can improve time efficiency for both submission and review. In this study, a conference management system was designed for the National Seminar on Electrical Engineering and Informatics, by taking a sample of three system roles, namely admin, participants, presenters, and reviewers. Each role will be tested for each corresponding modules whether information, call for papers, presenters, and reviewers. The SIMAKON modules has been successfully designed and tested based on their respective functions.

Linier and nonlinear dynamics are estimated in parametric and non-parametric function. Frequency Sampling Filter (FSF) function and discrete ARX are used to estimate the linier dynamic and a polynomial function for the nonlinear dynamic. Nonlinearity of PEM Fuel Cell is compensated in an inverse static nonlinearity model. This approach will eliminate the effect of nonlinearity when the real application of energy generation is integrated with PEM fuel cell.

Finite Control Set MPC as a model-based control is integrated in a scheme of differentiated control for a multi classes virtualized software system. A dynamic model is estimated in block-oriented form with nonlinear compensation feedback system. The performance objective is to maintain response time on the reference levels or subject to the degree of priority between the user classes. Experiments are conducted in a two-classes of virtualized software system for several performance differentiation scenarios. The performance of Integral FCSMPC is evaluated in comparison with Proportional Integral (PI) control. The results show that predictive control framework provides significant improvement in predictability and disturbance rejection procedure.
