I hold a background in Sport Science and Philosophy from KU Leuven, with a particular interest in Phenomenology, Existentialism, Philosophical Anthropology, Psychopathology, and Enactivism.
My research focuses on existential vulnerability in the context of elite athletic careers, examining how high-performance environments shape and challenge athletes' lived experience.
In addition to my academic work, I am a certified philosophical counselor, dedicated to supporting athletes as they navigate personal and existential struggles within the demands of competitive sport.

unveiled a disconcerting surge in anxiety disorders among the
adolescent and young adult demographic.2 A prevailing narrative
attributes this phenomenon to the pervasive influence of factors such
as excessive social media engagement and the burying weight of
performance expectations, thus positing them as focal points for
targeted intervention.3 However, while these factors ostensibly shed
light on the observed distress, I posit that they manifest a deeper,
existential quandary confronting the emerging generations. Drawing inspiration from the philosophical tenets of Søren Kierkegaard and Jean-Paul Sartre, I assert that today’s youth grapple with a paradox inherent in contemporary Western society.
