The domestic, industrial, agriculture, medical and recent technological applications effluents consist of heavy metals that have high density than water and are raising the concerns of potential effects on the environment and also human. The soil samples are collected from Godavari river basin near Rajahmundry in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, to assess the levels of Ni, Fe, Cr, Cu, Zn, Co, Pb, Cd & As to calculate soil PERI. Pearson’s correlation matrix, Contamination factor, Coefficient variations are used for evaluate contamination of pollutants & ecological risk, based on results the accumulation efficiency is very different in soils; most of the samples have high concentration. Contamination factors of heavy metals are in moderate contamination (1 ≤ 3), but the Cd shows as considerable contamination (3 ≤ 5) in Aalamuru-S5, Korumilli -S7 and Kulla-S8 s...

The groundwater samples are collected from selected sampling stations in and around of Gudlavalleru town region, Krishna district, and assess the physic-chemical characteristics, and tested the water quality parameters like pH, EC, TDS, TH, SO4, Cl, Mg, K, Na and F. The statistical method involves determination of correlation between the parameters. Finally it was found that there is a high concentration of parameters in ground water during both pre and post monsoon seasons, it indicates a serious health problems will rise in human. Therefore, to protect the public, it is necessary to treat and monitor the water quality before consumption in the study area.

It is observed from the exploration that the best and the most feasible waste to energy technology is anaerobic digestion for organic and incineration for plastic waste. This study assesses the different waste-to-energy technologies based on the waste characteristics the emerging technologies are used to produce different by-products such as biogas, heat, electricity, fuel and compost and focus on environmental aspects of optimal disposal and management methods of waste and their compositions in different regions in India for Resource recovery. The waste to energy process should expand to all the regions to meet the sustainable development and energy problems with best practices

The coefficient variation was observed as (CV > 0.36) high variation in heavy metal (Cd > Cu > As > Fe > Co > Zn > Pb > Ni > Cr). Based on results the toxic concentrations are gradually increases in the soil samples due to over usage of chemical fertilizers and may be accumulated into crops, leads to ecological risk, finally agricultural soil are contaminating by heavy metals in our study area.

To remit the problem of lacking of good quality of water in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, India, it is the comprehensive pollution index method is one of the earliest methods for groundwater should be assessed objectively and reasonably, we collect the water samples from north east region of Bapatla mandal in three seasons such as pre monsoon, post monsoon, and winter in 2009, NPI was calculated for the water samples average values of three seasons. The experimental analysis was done for various Physico -chemical parameters such as pH, Electrical Conductivity, TH, Cl, Mg, F, Ca, TDS, NO3 and SO4. The results are compared with standards of WHO and BIS. The results show that the improved Nemerow's index method can be more comprehensive and more objective to reflect the status of groundwater the present study attempts that all sampling stations showed high NPI value and water samples from to bring an acute awareness among t...

The analysis of groundwater samples were carried out from ten sampling sites of Bapatla mandal, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, by using water quality index (WQI), The analysis of different parameters such as pH, turbidity, Alkalinity, total hardness, chloride, sulphate, nitrate, TDS, DO, BOD, COD were carried out as per standard methods. The present study aimed to calculate water quality index (WQI) in order to assess the suitability of water for drinking purposes. The results obtained on WQI from different sampling stations were found. The TDS, nitrate and calcium levels in all the samples exceeded the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of WHO, BIS and USPH Drinking Water Standards. Based on the results obtained, the quality of water in four sampling sites is not suitable for human consumption without adequate treatment, monitoring of groundwater quality and treatment...

Water should be purified for a better life style. It is the basic duty of every individual to conserve water resources. The present study attempts to bring an acute awareness among the people about the quality of ground water by taking water samples from specific locations for analysis. The experimental analysis was done for various Physico-chemical and biological parameters such as pH, Electrical Conductivity, TDS, CO 3 2-, TH, Ca 2+ , Mg 2+ , Cl-, NO 3-, SO 4 2-, Turbidity, Na + , K + , Fe, and Fetc., The results are compared with standards of WHO, USPH and BIS and ISIRI. In the present study, a statistical analysis for eight data points of drinking water at eight villages, of Guntur District has been done and the results were discussed here. The systematic correlation and regression analysis showed significant linear relationship among different pairs of water quality parameters.
