Nurses often serve as the frontline interpreters of diagnostic and laboratory data, linking results to individualized patient needs. However, the complexity and volume of health data can challenge timely and accurate interpretation. This paper explores how AI systems can read, analyze, and interpret laboratory results and diagnostic tests to support evidence-based nursing practice, improve patient safety, and promote holistic care. We examine applications of AI in clinical decision support, discuss implications for nursing roles, and address ethical, educational, and practical considerations.
Artificial Intelligence and Nursing Leadership: Transforming Healthcare Through Informatics, 2025

Nurses, who represent the largest sector of the healthcare workforce, are uniquely positioned to guide this transformation. This article explores the role of nursing leadership in advancing AI-driven healthcare systems, with a focus on workflow optimization, patient outcomes, and executive decision-making. Drawing on over seven years of nursing practice and leadership experience, including contributions to open-source AI platforms such as DeepSeek, this paper argues that nurse leaders must take an active role in designing, deploying, and governing AI systems to ensure that they amplify rather than replace human care.
