A Comparative Study of Fly Ash Bricks Made with Blend of Clay Brick Waste and Stone Dust

Many research articles support the use of brick waste in construction materials as aggregates. Production of bricks using waste brick aggregate has environmental benefits by lowering the disposal problem and at the same time saving conventional resources. The present work focuses on the utilization of brick waste as a partial replacement of conventional aggregates in the mix of fly ash bricks. The technical properties of brick samples made were compared with each other. Stone dust was replaced by waste brick aggregates in different percentages. These bricks were tested after 14 days of curing in the material testing laboratory. The study was conducted to observe the changes in its properties, i.e. compressive strength, water absorption etc. The results showed that the compressive strength decreases with increase in amount of brick aggregates added and the water absorption ...

The pressin method offers an alternative technique of pile installation, which allows pre-formed piles to be installed with minimal noise and vibration.
