Sixty-three EFL adult learners received a total of six hours of isolated or integrated FFI on the target features. Acquisition was measured by means of cloze tests and interviews. The results obtained from a mixed-design ANOVA indicated that the learners in the two experimental groups made significant gains on the two language measures. A dependent t-test revealed that the two target structures responded differentially to the timing of form-focused instruction. We discuss some of the theoretical and pedagogical implications of these findings.

The data of this study are retrieved from DataStream and annual reports of all conventional banks in the country. The sample of the study comprises of 27 conventional commercial banks in Malaysia and the period of study is confined to 2005-2013; making up to 208 observations. The dependent variable of this study is bank performance and is proxy by ROA and ROE, while risk management is the independent variable and is proxy by operational risk, credit risk, and liquidity risk. A regression analysis with GLS estimation is run to test the hypotheses of the study and the results show that operational risk, credit risk and liquidity risk have significant influence on ROE. However, the regression results show that only operational risk and credit risk are significant to ROA while liquidity risk is found to have insignificant relationship with ROA. Hence, the hypotheses of the significant relationship of oper...

During the last few decades, the streamflow significantly decreased for long periods followed by extensive flood in short periods. This study aimed to quantify the impact of climate change on streamflow at Dokan Dam until year 2050 using SWAT model based on the scenario of medium emission (A1B) and five climate projection models. SWAT run using Climate Forecasting System Reanalysis (CFSR) was used as weather input data then calibrated and validated on monthly time step for the period from 1980 to 2013 with Nash-Sutcliff Efficiency (NSE) of 0.73 and determination coefficient (R2) 0.73 for calibration processes. The data of this period is more reliable. The result indicated to a significant decrease on the projected streamflow until year 2050 with average streamflow for the six climate models of 167 m3/sec in past compared with the observed streamflow of 176.5 m3/sec for the base period (1980-2013). In addition, the ...

To provide adaptive e-learning programs and research materials adapted to adaptive learning, this type of educational approach attempts to integrate the ability to understand and identify the unique needs of an individual in the context of learning with the skills needed to use suitable learning pedagogy and to improve the learning process. Thus, designing realistic student profiles and templates based on an overview of their affective states, level of experience, and individual personality traits and abilities is essential. The data collected can then be used and used effectively for the creation of an adaptive learning system. These learner models can be used in two ways once learned. The first is to educate the pedagogy of the integrated educational method suggested by the experts and designers. The second objective is to provide the framework ...

One of these problems is the genital prolapse and mineral deficiency in cattle and local buffaloes cows (Bubalus bubalis) in some villages around Baghdad (Al-Fudhalia,7 Nisan and Basmaia). However to design appropriate manners for correction and treatment of such reproductive disorders for those two important animals in the country, they were kept under different management conditions .The data on animals, cattle (257) and local buffalo cows (383) during 2014 , and cattle (290 ), buffalo (404 ) during 2015 where their animals were reared. A complete data on the case history , owner complains, clinical examinations for reproductive status, private clinics and veterinary hospitals were documented during 2014 -2015 .The results revealed that genital prolapse percentage for cattle were 5.45% ,3.44% during 2014,2015 respectively as for the mineral deficiency percentages 11.67% ,7.58% during ...

The main goal of this study is to design a classifier model to help radiologists to provide a second view to diagnose mammograms. In the proposed system medium filter and binary image with a global threshold have been applied for removing the noise and small artifacts in the pre-processing stage. Secondly, in the segmentation phase, a Hybrid Bounding Box and Region Growing (HBBRG) algorithm are utilizing to remove pectoral muscles, and then a geometric method has been applied to cut the largest possible square that can be obtained from a mammogram which represents the ROI. In the features extraction phase three method was used to prepare texture features to be a suitable introduction to the classification process are first Order (statistical features), Local Binary Patterns (LBP), and Gray-Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM), Finally, SVM has been applied in two-level to classify mammogram im...

However, this can only happen when the language is taken as an important part of the constitution and the law of that country, which have to be constituted as a way of beginning for coexistence. Furthermore, at the same time the education system and the media have also to be put to serve and create a suitable language for coexistence. The opposite is also true, where language is an identity; it is a way of dialogue, word or a term that are used. It is misunderstanding between some people in some societies that language has become a source for the mayhem, conflicts, economic crisis and the disruption of national and social security especially in those countries and societies that are passing through the transition stages. Which is also multinational, multilingual, multi faith, multi ethnic? In addition to this they also have a historical background in conflicts and war. The Kurdistan region ...

This paper focused on Journalists, because they are more intelligent to use social media and much more need to use social media regarding their jobs. For this purpose, this paper use survey method to collect data sample size which is 101 journalists 101 form being returned and responded by the Journalists from all of Kurdistan Region governess, and all type of media organization such as printer ,digital and broadcast media .So that gain the answer, do the Journalist behave and their level of using social media being changed when compared coronaviruses time a...

Acute painful crisis is a common sequela that can cause significant morbidity and negatively impact the patient's quality of life. Remarkable improvements in the understanding of the pathogenesis of this clinical syndrome and the role of cell adhesion, inflammation, and coagulation in acute painful crisis have led to changes in the management of pain. Due to the endemic nature of SCD in various parts of the Middle East, a group of physicians and scientists from the United States and Middle East recently met to draw up a set of suggested guidelines for the management of acute painful crisis that are reflective of local and international experience. This review brings together a detailed etiology, the pathophysiology, and clinical presentatio...

However the effectiveness of lime at long term is still ambiguous. This paper aims to determine the suitability of lime for stabilizing tropical kaolin clay soils, and to assess typical changes in soil structure due to mineralogical influences at different during period and lime content in both short and long term. The microstructure characterizations have been investigated using x-ray diffraction (XRD), and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). Furthermore, to illustrate the effect of lime on the strength, series of laboratory tests were carried out by unconfined compressive strength. The results indicated that the addition of lime resulted in an improvement in compaction properties. In addition, the unconfined compressive strength (UCS) of stabilized clay has increased with the addition of lime. The influence of the time factor on the d...
