This research uses qualitative phenomenology by collecting data from four male students who are still active in the PIAUD IAIN Ponorogo department through interviews. Data were analyzed using interpretative phenomenological techniques based on social cognitive career theory (SCCT) to find themes that emerged from respondents' expressions. The research results show that there are respondents whose decision-making process is carried out by other people, this is a characteristic of collectivist culture. One respondent made his own decision based on his work. Knowledge about PAUD is obtained from work experience, family and education. The research results also show that there is still a view that early childhood education is more suitable for girls. There are differences in outcome expectations in the physical aspect between respondents, but they agree that they have expectations in the social aspect and self-evaluation.
