As we know quantum mechanics treat particles by the wave function, we will see how that will lead to identical particles such as fermions and bosons. Fermi Dirac statistics is discussed; it is the statistics that describe fermions. I will discuss the behavior of fermions at very low and at very high temperatures.

In the beginning of the twentieth century, some phenomena appeared and classical mechanics could ... more In the beginning of the twentieth century, some phenomena appeared and classical mechanics could not explain them, so scientists were seeking to find another theory that can explain them, then they invented the quantum mechanics. this theory was revolutionary. It predicted some of strange phenomena such as quantum tunneling. In this essay, I will discuss how this theory started and the experiments that leaded to it. I will discuss the wave function and it physical meaning, then I will go into the wave equations. As we know in classical mechanics we use Newton's laws of motion, in similar way, in quantum mechanics we use wave equations, that equations are divided into two types relativistic and non-relativistic. I will discuss the two types and how we used them to describe and predict new phenomena.
