The importance of the topic approached: by definition, lumbosacralgia is a painfully localized sy... more The importance of the topic approached: by definition, lumbosacralgia is a painfully localized symptom for which it is not always possible to establish a direct relationship between the importance the patient is giving to this suffering and the anatomo-pathological changes of the spine. Somatic manifestations depend on the etiopathogenicity of the disease as well as on the psychological interpretation of the nociceptive message. The participation of these psychosomatic components is not at all negligible and it explains the spectacular improvements made by means that at first sight have nothing in common with the supposed underlying etiopathogenic pain. Lumbosacral pain located or associated with a root syndrome accounts for more than 50% of the cases occurring in physical medicine services. In all countries, the same suffering represents a temporary incapacity to work and has very high social costs. Studies show that spine pain reaches about 80% of adults, but only 20% of the cases...

The calcaneal spurs are a specific condition of middle and old age. It manifests through plantar ... more The calcaneal spurs are a specific condition of middle and old age. It manifests through plantar osteophytosis on plantar fascia insertion, and is largely associated with plantar fasciitis. Calcaneal spurs are asymptomatic until they are mechanically irritated and inflamed, they respond through a local intense pain. The proposed treatment is conservative, and uses physiotherapy applied locally such as TENS current, ultrasound and passiv/active stretches. The study was performed on a group of 10 patients, treated daily with the physiotherapy complex program. Patients are evaluated according to the VAS pain assessment scale at the beginning of the treatment and at the end. The evaluated parameters were: pain at rest, pain in standing position, and pain in walking. The results showed a favorable evolution in pain reduction, in all patients treated within 10 days. All the data obtained from the evaluations were processed statistically based on specialized software.

Knee instability is a common condition found in degenerative knee osteoarthritis. The evolution o... more Knee instability is a common condition found in degenerative knee osteoarthritis. The evolution of the disease is a chronic one, with acute exacerbations that accentuate the static and dynamic deterioration of the knee joint. Women are more susceptible in 70% - 80% of cases, with an increased frequency after menopause, between 40 to 70 years, being often associated with obesity and varicose veins. Starting from these data and then extrapolating with the increased number of people coming to treatment with this condition, we considered that a more in-depth study theoretically, but especially practical, in terms of the effectiveness of physiotherapy treatment is slowing down the evolution of the disease. Based on the objectives we presented earlier, we are determined to focus our efforts on this category of patients, and through our study we try to find new ways to reduce the suffering of the patients and to ensure the sustainability of the obtained results.
