Which might range from minor issues like dizziness and shortness of breath to more severe problems like interfering with heart and brain functions. The amount of oxygen in a person’s blood indicates how efficiently the body transports oxygen from the lungs to the cells. The present research aims to design continuously monitor the blood oxygen level and to regulate the opening and closing of the oxygen flow meter valve using a servo motor. If the blood oxygen level is normal, the valve remains closed. If the blood oxygen level falls below the normal range, the valve is opened. The system employs a SpO2 sensor for monitoring the heart rate and oxygen saturation. The output of the sensor is sent to the microcontroller that comes up with an in-built analog to digital converter. It is caused by the extended exposure to harmful radiations from the sun. Skin cancer can be broadly classified into two categories as melanocytic and non-melanocytic (benign). Most basic way to detect the threat of skin is by visual investigation performed by a specialist dermatologist employing a set of specific clinical tools. This paper describes novel image processing approaches for skin cancer detection using dermoscopy images. The motive of this work is to investigate and prefer an algorithm for skin cancer determination that can group the lesions as malignant or benign melanoma in terms of accuracy, sensitivity and specificity. Initially, the image samples showing melanoma are obtained by using dermoscope and segmented. It is then given for feature extraction and the results are classified using Support Vector Machine (SVM), Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Naive Bayes Classifiers.

The purpose of this study is to incorporate a portable power source into the prosthetic arm in order to decrease downtime and increase reliability. The use of special footwear that serves as a regenerative power source for the prosthetic arm’s battery, a piezoelectric generator that generates energy while walking, and a charging station that transfers power directly to the prosthetic arm while on the move. The complete device allows the user to comfortably use the prosthetic arm for longer periods of time.

Skin cancer can be defined as skin growths with differing causes and various degrees of malignancy. This paper describes novel image processing approaches for detecting how malignant a skin lesion is, based on its texture feature and fractal feature analysis. Fractal features refers to the geometry of the skin lesion and its analysis quantifies complex shapes of the tumor. Whereas texture features refers to the contrast of the cancer image, homogeneity, energy, entropy, etc. Images are taken using a dermatoscope and digital camera. Fractal dimensions are calculated on these images as it has been already experimentally proven that most of the information about the malignancy of the tumor is contained in the contours of the tumor shape. It is used to record electrical potentials generated on the surface of elbow while the joint undergoes compressive loading. The aim of this work is to understand the generation of EAG signals and to differentiate between the healthy and unhealthy elbow based on its cartilage degradation. It has been found that EAG signals originate from the cartilages based on the simulated and measured potential values distributions. Unhealthy cartilages produce varying current density with specific potential distribution. EAG signals can be used as a clinical tool to diagnose bone and cartilage degradation.

This work presents a new approach to the automated detection and classification of astrocytoma, medulloblastoma, glioma, glioblastoma multiforme and craniopharyngioma type of brain tumours based on k-means clustering and texture features, which separate brain tumour from healthy tissues in magnetic resonance images. The magnetic resonance feature image used for the tumour detection consists of T2-weighted magnetic resonance images for each axial slice through the head. The application of the proposed method for tracking tumour is demonstrated to help pathologists distinguish exactly tumour region and its type of tumour. The results are quantitatively evaluated by a human expert. The average overlap metric, average precision and the average recall between the results obtained using the proposed approach and ground truth are 0.92, 0.97 and 0.92, respectively. A classification with accuracy of 100%, 99% and 98% has been obtained by SVM, ANN and decision tree.

The most prevalent human malignancy that affects the human population all over the world is skin cancer. High levels of absorption to the sun’s damaging rays are the source for this cancer. For accurate steps to improve the situation, early diagnosis of this cancer may be beneficial. Skin cancer detection has the ability to decrease mortality and morbidity. Artificial intelligence may be capable of classifying skin cancer with ability levels equivalent to those of dermatologists. This paper presents skin cancer identification by images that are processed by deep learning algorithms that require minimal human intervention. The system is trained given past image records stored in the device, allowing treatment to proceed earlier. In evaluating the efficiency of proposed procedures, well-known quantitative metrics such as precision, sensitivity and accuracy are used. Comparative analysis is performed to assess the effectiveness of the two approaches proposed.
