Furthermore, it is anticipated that the threshold voltages will not eignificantly decrease below what is available today [31. As a result, it is important to develop circuit techniques that permit existing CMOS to implement analog circuits at power supply voltages as low as 1V. This paper describes some of these techniques and illustrates their application in the design of a CMOS opamp operating from a 1V power supply, This opamp uses a digital 2bm CMOS having threshold voltages of 0.7 to 0.8V and demonstrates performance comparable with opamps using higher power supply voltages.
