Penulisan artikel ilmiah masih menjadi hambatan bagi para mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan studi akh... more Penulisan artikel ilmiah masih menjadi hambatan bagi para mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan studi akhir mereka. Umumnya mereka kesulitan untuk menulis dan mempublikasikan naskah mereka karena mereka belum terlatih atau bahkan mereka tidak perna mempublikasikan tulisan mereka ke journal online. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa perlu diberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan kompetensi mereka melalui pendampingan penulisan artikel ilmiah. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa khususnya mahasiswa yang terhimpun dalam organisasi IPMIL Luwu Raya. Mitra pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah organisasi IPMIL Luwu Raya dan Enlish Community of Megarezky Kota Makassar Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, yang terdiri dari 35 peserta. Adapun bentuk kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri dari (1) Persiapan; (2) Pelaksanaan; dan (3) Evaluasi. Untuk mengukur ketercapaian tujuan kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan instrument soal pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai rerata pretest yang awalnya 38 menjadi 83. Seluruh peserta (100%) memperoleh peningkatan skor nilai pretest-posttest. Tim kegiatan pengabdian menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan penulisan artikel ilmiah dengan pemanfaatan aplikasi Publish or Perish dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan pemahaman mahasiswa dalam menulis artikel ilmiah.

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the podcast which contains relevant and authentic content for global listening comprehension in language learning. As a technological tool, the “British Council” podcast was integrated for learning English pronunciation at English Education in Universitas Borneo Tarakan. This pre-experimental study involved one class of third-semester students who previously learned pronunciation. This study aimed at determining how Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, ... more This study aimed at determining how Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions influenced Behavioral intentions to use technology in learning English Pharmacy. This study employed a sample of 100 pharmacy students who were enrolled in English pharmacy course. The samples were chosen using quota sampling technique. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model was performed to measure students' acceptance of the use of technology in this study. The findings of this study indicated that the four aspects mentioned above, such as Performance Expectations, Effort Expectations, Social Influences, and Facilitation Conditions, have a favorable impact on students' Behavioral intentions when using technology to learn English Pharmacy. However, only 40% of the four factors could explain the influence on Behavioral intention. The impact of this study is that it can lead the way and serve as a reference for future research on the UTAUT approach in larger scope. In addition, the university should be able to increase the benefits and usability of technology as a learning resource by developing its own Learning Management System (LMS) which is easy to use.

This research employed Descriptive Causal Comparative method. This research used purposive sampling technique taking the seventh semester students of Tarbiah and Teaching Science English Department of State Islamic University. The number of population was about 44 students spread in four groups namely PBI 1, PBI 2, PBI 3 and PBI 4, but in this research only 30 students as the sample of the research. The instruments were English structure test and questionnaire.
The data of the students’ achievement and classification were collected by using test and questionnaire. The data obtained through the test were subjected to paired sample t test for dependent sample to see the significant difference in the test.
The findings of the study indicated that the result of test were not significantly different. This means that extroversion and introversion are not influenced in learning or accomplishing test of English structure.
