The paper covers issue of conducting advanced research of electrical race car participating in in... more The paper covers issue of conducting advanced research of electrical race car participating in international competition called Sileverline Corporate Challenge. Process of designing race cars in Silesian Greenpower team is aided by a professional engine test stand built particularly in purpose of this research. Phase of testing and simulation is an important part of the implementation of new technologies. Properly developed solutions and test procedures are able to significantly shorten development time and reduce design costs. Testing process must be controlled by a modular and flexible application, easy to modify and ensuring safety. This paper describes the concept of object-oriented programming in LabVIEW and exemplary architecture of object-oriented control application designed to control engine test stand of the electrical race car. Eventually, the task of application will be to steer the electromagnetic brake and the engine load torque to perform according to data from the actual race track. During the designing process of the car, minimizing energy losses and maximizing powertrain efficiency are the main aspects taken into consideration. One of the crucial issues to accomplish these goals is to maintain optimal performance of the motor by applying effective cooling. The paper covers the research verifying the effectiveness of the cooling system.

This article presents the results of studies of the accumulation of heavy metals in irrigated soi... more This article presents the results of studies of the accumulation of heavy metals in irrigated soils and crops grown in fields contaminated with heavy metals in a territory that has not previously been studied and its ecological state has not been assessed. The accumulation of heavy metals in irrigated soils and crops Panicum L-millet, Solanum lycopersicum - tomato, Citrullus lanatus - watermelon, Cucumis melo - melon, Capsicum annuum - bell pepper was determined. Based on the amount of accumulated elements of heavy metals Cr, Ni, Cd, Pb, Mn, Cu, As in soil and crops, an assessment of their ecological state was carried out. The following accumulation of heavy metals in soil incisions is established: the cadmium (Cd) element accumulates in a small amount, lead (Pb) - 15.2 mg/kg, nickel (Ni) - 34.2 mg/kg, chromium (Cr) - 43.3 mg/kg. The object of research in this article is the applicability of some conservative difference schem... more The object of research in this article is the applicability of some conservative difference schemes and methods for calculating the values of the thermal conductivity coefficient at the nodes of the difference grid for the numerical modeling of a one-dimensional quasilinear heat conduction process, in which the coefficient of thermal conductivity is a power-law function of temperature. As a result of solving the differential problem, it is necessary to obtain the most accurate numerical solution of the problem posed. Therefore, choosing a difference scheme for the numerical solution of the differential equation in the mathematical model of the problem and method for calculating the values of the thermal conductivity coefficient is relevant. The study is performed by the method of carrying out computational experiments on a computer and comparing the numerical solutions with the known analytical solution of the form of a traveling wave. A group of methods for calculating the thermal conductivity coefficient values at the nodes of the difference mesh, which are advisable to use in the numerical simulation of the nonlinear heat conduction process, is identified. The results of computational experiments on a computer show that using these methods using both an explicit difference scheme with a central difference, and an implicit difference scheme without iterations, and an implicit difference scheme with iterations, it is possible to obtain numerical solutions of a one-dimensional quasilinear heat conduction problem which are close enough to the analytical solution. Consequently, the listed above conservative difference schemes can be used for numerical modeling of a onedimensional quasilinear heat conduction process.

The excess of maximum allowable concentrations in agricultural crops of the element As by 1.65-1.75, Cd - 1.6-2.3, Cr -1.2-2.35, Cu -1.6-3.3, Ni - 1.16-3.53, Pb - 1.54-3.08, Al - 1.36-3.5, Sb - 2.0-33, Se - 1.1-3.3 times was established. The maximum allowable concentration of mercury in vegetables and melons was equal to 0.02 mg/kg, and in the chosen plants this indicator was close to the maximum allowable concentration (MAC).
