Tái tạo mặt cong từ mô hình lưới mô phỏng bề mặt của đối đượng 3D vẫn đang là vấn đề quan tâm và ... more Tái tạo mặt cong từ mô hình lưới mô phỏng bề mặt của đối đượng 3D vẫn đang là vấn đề quan tâm và có nhiều ứng dụng thực tiễn. Mặt cong tham số B-spline tam giác tái tạo được cho phép biểu diễn các bề mặt có hình dáng đa dạng, thuận tiện khi hiệu chỉnh bề mặt thông qua các đỉnh điều khiển. Bên cạnh các đỉnh điều khiển, vị trí các vectơ nút trên miền tham số cũng ảnh hưởng đến hình dáng của mặt cong B-spline tam giác. Bài viết này để xuất kỹ thuật nhằm xác định các vectơ nút của B-spline tam giác bậc 2, 3, 4 dựa trên tỉ lệ độ lớn giữa các góc, cạnh của các tam giác trên miền tham số, áp dụng cho cả các nút bên trong và nút ở biên. Việc xác định các nút được kiểm tra thỏa điều kiện sinh nút, tránh trường hợp cộng tuyến giữa các nút được tạo ra. Kết quả được áp dụng trong quá trình tái tạo B-spline tam giác từ lưới tam giác 3D ban đầu bằng phương pháp dịch chuyển hình học. Thực nghiệm cho thấy chất lượng của mặt cong B-splỉne tam giác tái tạo được cải thiện rõ rệt.

Mục tiêu: Khảo sát tình hình sử dụng amikacin và đánh giá tính phù hợp, độc tính trên thận của việc sử dụng kháng sinh amikacin. Đối tượng và phương pháp: Nghiên cứu cắt ngang mô tả được thực hiện trên 288 hồ sơ bệnh án của bệnh nhân (BN) trên 18 tuổi và có sử dụng amikacin ít nhất 3 ngày từ 01/06/2020 đến 30/12/2020 tại bệnh viện Nhân dân Gia Định. Dữ liệu được thu thập và phân tích từ hồ sơ bệnh án của BN bao gồm các đặc điểm bệnh nhân, đặc điểm vi sinh, đặc điểm sử dụng amikacin, độc tính trên thận, yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến độc tính thận. Kết quả: Tuổi trung bình là 63,39 ± 16,39 tuổi, bệnh nhân nữ chiếm tỷ lệ 56,25%. Trung vị cân nặng là 52 kg, trung vị của BMI là 21,05 kg/m2, tỷ lệ bệnh nhân có suy giảm chức năng thận 40,62%. Modulus of rupture (MOR), modulus of elasticity (MOE), internal bond, and thickness swelling were used as a measure for mechanical and physical performance. Two types of cotton stalk particleboard were manufactured. Results indicated that compression stiffness of the particle mat increased with increasing particle size; however, it decreased with increasing mat moisture content and temperature. At mat moisture contents of 12% and 18%, the plateau temperature at the centerline was not significantly different between boards having coarse and fine particles. However, the plateau time of boards with coarse particles was significantly lower than that of boards with fine particles. Current classic object detection techniques do not give satisfying results in less visibility. It is essential to detect and recognize the objects under such conditions and devise a better object detection mechanism. The paper proposes a solution to this problem by using a multi step approach that uses Saliency techniques and modern object detection algorithms to obtain the desired results. The distorted image is enhanced via a deep neural network for visibility enhancement. The image frame of a better quality undergoes saliency techniques so that less visible objects are visible. Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) then runs on the saliency output to yield bounding boxes for all the objects. The coordinates of the bounding boxes are then applied on the original image thus detecting all the objects in a distorted image with less visibility.

Tái tạo mặt cong tham số từ lưới tam giác, đặc biệt là mặt cong tham số bậc thấp, có ý nghĩa quan... more Tái tạo mặt cong tham số từ lưới tam giác, đặc biệt là mặt cong tham số bậc thấp, có ý nghĩa quan trọng và mang lại nhiều ứng dụng thực tiễn trong lĩnh vực tái tạo ngược, thực tại ảo và hỗ trợ thiết kế. Bài báo này đề xuất một phương pháp mới nhằm tái tạo các mặt cong trên miền tham số tam giác có bậc thấp (cụ thể là các mặt Bézier, B-patch và B-spline) dựa trên phương pháp dịch chuyển hình học cục bộ và lược đồ tái hợp mảnh. Bằng cách sử dụng lược đồ tái hợp mảnh nhằm thô hóa lưới điều khiển của mặt cong và điều chỉnh cục bộ các điểm điều khiển thông qua mỗi bước dịch chuyển hình học, các mặt cong được tái tạo xấp xỉ với hầu hết các điểm dữ liệu của lưới tam giác ban đầu mà không cần phải giải các hệ phương trình tuyến tính phức tạp. Độ chính xác của mặt cong tham số tái tạo đạt được bằng cách điều chỉnh vị trí các điểm điều khiển và đám mây nút trong mỗi bước lặp. Các kết quả thực nghiệm cho thấy phương pháp đề xuất đơn giản, mềm dẻo, hiệu quả và có thể áp dụng được với lưới tam giác có hình dạng bất kỳ. Most applications rely on their exceptional hydraulic conductivity despite the current paucity of numerical methods which can simultaneously capture the behaviour of fibre and fluid. In this paper, a coupling numerical approach is proposed where fibres are modelled by Discrete Element Method (DEM) and fluid is simulated by Finite Volume Method (FVM). The Parallel Bond Model incorporated in DEM will reasonably capture the linear stress-strain behaviour of natural fibres such as jute, but unlike previous studies where the fibres are either pre-formed and have an unchanged geometry, the coupling technique provides a good agreement in predicting the hydraulic behaviour of fibrous porous media. Despite the acknowledged importance of learning communities to students’ learning experiences, cu... more Despite the acknowledged importance of learning communities to students’ learning experiences, cultivating communities in online environments is difficult. This research investigates the promotion of students’ informal online learning communities (OLCs) through suggesting compatible study partners, taking into account students’ characteristics and preferences. Using a Design Science Research approach, a learning partner recommender system was created and evaluated by students, academics, and educational designers. Results highlighted the potential of learning partner recommender systems for facilitating the formation of OLCs amongst students, along with additional secondary benefits. The research also provided important insights into barriers to student adoption of voluntary educational technologies.

Different genotypes can cause various responses to platelet aggregation inhibitors. Therefore, we conduct research to evaluate the relationship between CYP2C19 polymorphisms and platelet aggregation in patients with acute myocardial infraction. The study was processed with a cross-sectional study of patients diagnosed acute myocardial infraction had blood samples tested for the gene CYP2C19 and platelet aggregation. We address in this paper a new dynamic texture operator by considering local structure patterns (LSP) and completed local binary patterns (CLBP) for static images in three orthogonal planes to capture spatial-temporal texture structures. Since the typical operator of local binary patterns (LBP), which uses center pixel for thresholding, has some limitations such as sensitivity to noise and near uniform regions, the proposed approach can deal with these drawbacks by using global and local texture information for adaptive thresholding and CLBP for exploiting complementary texture information in three orthogonal planes. Evaluations on different datasets of dynamic textures (UCLA, DynTex, DynTex++) show that our proposal significantly outperforms recent results in the state-of-the-art approaches.

An appropriately activated coagulation system provides hemostasis during surgery, but pathologic dysregulation can cause progressive bleeding and increased transfusions. Despite receiving antifibrinolytics for clot stabilization, many patients still require transfusions. We sought to examine the association of dilutional coagulopathy with blood loss and blood transfusion in posterior spinal fusion for pediatric scoliosis patients. A retrospective, single institution study of children undergoing posterior spinal fusion >6 levels with a standardized, prospective anesthetic protocol utilizing antifibrinolytics.
