Bioassays including growth inhibition of phytopathogen ( Pythium aphanidermatum ), Minimum Inhibi... more Bioassays including growth inhibition of phytopathogen ( Pythium aphanidermatum ), Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC), Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) and Brine Shrimp lethality test of the dichloromethane (DCM) and methanol extracts of Echinaceae angustifolia, Myosotis scorpioides, Detarium microcarpum and Terminalia mollis were carried out. The result of growth inhibition on Pythium aphanidermatum revealed that the DCM extract of Detarium microcarpum has the highest growth inhibition (75%) followed by DCM extract of Myosotis scorpioides (45%). The result indicated that both DCM and MeOH extracts of the plants were active in the MIC and MBC [b1] . The result of the Brine Shrimp Test (BST) revealed LC 50 of 91.985µg/ml (toxic) for the MeOH extract of E. angustifolia and LC 50 of 1540.00µg/ml (non-toxic) for MeOH extract of Detarium microcarpum .
