We are living in a world with energy resources depleting gradually due to the increased and heavy... more We are living in a world with energy resources depleting gradually due to the increased and heavy usage of the same in various fields of applications like infrastructure development, industrial sector and even transportation services. Heavy use of electrical energy is observed in equipments involving refrigeration and heating in modern day lives. Scientific and research operations cannot be dealt with, without relying on electrical energy. With this rising usage of power, we must prioritize our resources and assort them judicially such that, the precious and costly energy resources are assigned to areas which need continuous flow of high voltage power whereas alternative sources should be used for lesser input demanding applications. In this research paper, we have designed one such power source-‘A Microbial Fuel Cell’ using a unique fuel mixed in fixed proportions to obtain output in terms of voltage and current. We have further demonstrated by simulation the change in response and drastic increase in supply if we conditioned the bio-fuel output with an electronic boost converter. We have also specified the actual IC which would be most favorable for our designed cell. Such an assembled composite system has the potential of achieving an efficient voltage output if produced in large scale.

Their speed can be controlled by Armature voltage control and Field voltage control up to the base speed and above the base speed respectively. A rectifier or chopper is used as a converter to convert a fixed DC into variable DC to provide speed control to the motor. Many controllers have been applied for the control of motor speed. A closed loop control model has been developed having two control loops i.e. a speed control loop followed by a current control loop. Many researchers have proposed different models for this purpose. This paper presents a literature review of the research work done in this field till date. A comparative analysis is also done between the conventional methods and Artificial Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based controller to find the best suitable method.

The component size of HEV plays a vital role in the fuel efficiency of vehicles. This paper presents a divided rectangle (DIRECT) method for component sizing of vehicles to ensure better fuel efficiency and satisfying drivability. A state–space model was used to represent the design problem. A constraint multi-input multi-output optimization problem was solved by our DIRECT optimization algorithm. Efficacy of the algorithm was tested with standard drive cycles, including drive cycles for Indian urban and highway conditions representing various driving scenarios in the country. The simulation results illustrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The PI control technique is used for managing the power flow so that the supercapacitor fulfills the transient power and the battery supplies the steady-state power. Any new device that is to be developed is always tested for the outputs that it can produce with respect to the fuel used to power it up. In places where we do not require very high quality of power input, we can use alternate energy sources so that the costlier fuels can be saved for powering up loads that demand high wattage. In this research paper, we designed a microbial fuel cell which is a source of energy that requires entirely waste material and puts it to reuse by producing acceptable voltage output. We used a fuel combination of cow dung and vegetarian diet kitchen waste. By mixing it in all possible ratios, we determined the best ratio of mixing the fuel so that the output would be maximum and the resultant build-up would be most suitable for energy generation along with being cost-efficient.
