In general, immersive technologies are seen as suitable tools to live vicarious experiences, when the reality is hardly accessible, for instance due to safety issues.ObjectivesIn this paper, we focus on 360° videos with the aim of developing a more systematic and evidence informed approach to the understanding of the educational uses of 360° in different educational contexts.MethodsA scoping literature review approach has been adopted in order to obtain a comprehensive insight based on objective, replicable and transparent procedures.Results and conclusionsThe review includes studies published from 2016 onwards. The volume focuses on the educational use of 360° video at the university to bring teachers close... more The volume focuses on the educational use of 360° video at the university to bring teachers closer to the adoption of innovative teaching practices. The use of this technology is gaining momentum, attracting the interest of teachers from different subject areas for the potential of 360 ° video to anticipate experiences, especially in risky contexts. The volume offers an insight into the theoretical and methodological dimensions involved, accompanied by an examination of the technical aspects. A large space is devoted to the results of SEPA360, a faculty development project on 360 ° video, and to the good practices it has generated. The book can be a valuable tool for university teachers, teachers and trainers interested in the training use of immersive technologies.

Lo studio prevede una breve ricognizione storico-teorica sulla natura, sull’uso e la conoscenza dell’IA e si concentra sulla letteratura che dà rilievo al tema dell’“AI Literacy”, ovvero a quei percorsi formativi tesi a promuovere consapevolezza concettuale dei meccanismi che sottostanno alla IA ed alle loro implicazioni. Il lavoro si basa sull’esame di 35 articoli selezionati sull’argomento, pubblicati negli ultimi sei anni, evidenziando i criteri teorici con i quali viene definita l’AI Literacy, se ne prefigura la pratica e si arriva tramite una sintesi dei lavori ad un’idea di framework teorico. This chapter presents the Cyber-Trust cyber-threat intelligence, detection, and mitigation platfo... more This chapter presents the Cyber-Trust cyber-threat intelligence, detection, and mitigation platform, which delivers solutions for enhancing the security of the Internet of things, showcasing its value for law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and how they will be assisted in accessing, viewing, and receiving information that potentially holds digital evidence of specific cyber-crimes against Internet service providers and smart homes, in a timely manner. We present how information from different software components (e.g. Blockchain), when integrated based on the needs of the end-users, can greatly assist in the detection and correlation of digital evidence and the collaboration between the LEAs and providers. The challenges imposed by the national and European legislation are further discussed along with possible ways to address these shortcomings via the Cyber-Trust platform.

This condition causes serious difficulties for older employees when returning to the job market and inevitably leads to a deterioration of their emotional state and well-being. On a different perspective, following the concept of active aging, the fact that older people continue to perform volunteering activities exploiting their skill and abilities is extremely positive for their well being. Volunteering job is, however, known for being very volatile and dynamic with people leaving activities, often, after a relatively short period of time. Toward a Cooperative Approach for Continuous Innovation of Mobility Information Services

Mobility Information Services (MIS), associated with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), are exp... more Mobility Information Services (MIS), associated with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), are expected to provide valuable contributions towards sustainable and smart mobility. MIS inherit from ITS the characteristic of being a collaborative System of Systems (SoS) where no centralized management can actually be enforced and where heterogeneous types of independent actors are involved. Therefore, innovation in MIS cannot be conceived, represented and consequently promoted merely as a matter of advancements in specific technological fields. In this paper we propose a socio-technical framework for promoting continuous innovation in MIS. Focus is made on a cooperative approach, which leverages SoS principles, to foster service and product innovation in the mobility information domain at regional scale. We describe how this approach has been put into practice by architecting an "Open Working Environment". This is a socio-technical environment made by: i) a Cooperative Network of stakeholders (e.g., regional and national Public Administrations, Enterprises and Research Bodies); ii) an Architectural Framework, which is the reference technological baseline enabling the rapid configuration, deployment and integration of different technological capabilities. The latter is made also to support demonstration and validation activities of applied research results. Finally, we discuss obtained results, as well as future research directions and exploitation activities.

The ARIANNA project has developed a collaborative interdisciplinary research environment that is easily accessible to the community of researchers working on ASD (https://arianna.pi.infn.it). The main goals of the project are: to analyze neuroimaging data acquired in multiple sites with multivariate approaches based on machine learning; to detect structural and functional brain characteristics that allow the distinguishing of individuals with ASD from control subjects; to identify neuroimaging-based criteria to stratify the population with ASD to support the future development of personalized treatments.
