A... more This research examines students' perceptions and challenges in the learning English literature. A total of 60 Form 5 students from one of the secondary schools in the district of Hulu Langat, Selangor were selected. The samples were chosen based on their level of English proficiency from three different groups of students which were good, average and weak. A set of structured questionnaire consisting of 45 items using 1-4 Likert scale instrument was designed to collect data from these respondents on their perceptions and challenges in dealing with literary text, literature lesson and ESL teachers in learning of English literature component in English Language Classroom. The overall findings of the study indicates that majority of students, respondents of this study have positive perceptions towards literary text, literature lesson and ESL teachers despite some challenges that they have been facing when learning literature. This study is essential as student's perceptions and challenges may help the teachers, educationist and curriculum developer to revise the current trend in teaching and learning literature component. Consequently, they will find the best solution to overcome the challenges which will cater students' needs for a better satisfaction in learning literature component that may lead to personalizing learning of English literature for better performance in their overall English Language result in SPM.

The objective of this study was to examine the influencing factors for acceptance and the use of ZOOM as well as value education in Malaysia. A conceptual framework that incorporates learning technologies in Society 5.0 with value-concepted education by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi is developed. To achieve Society 5.0, the components of technology education and values are blends together because those components are the main cause in developing a great nation in reflecting the civilization and quality of a country in the world.

Accordingly, an integrated Tamil language e-module with Augmented Reality (AuRa-BT), based on the Universal Design for Agile Development model and minimalist theory was designed and developed. Before and after the e-module implementation, a survey was conducted using questionnaires and checklists as research tools. Questionnaires, and checklists were used as tools to verify of content and usability of AURa-BT module. Respondents of the study are 50 students and 8 teachers. Descriptive methods were used to analyze the data obtained. The overall study results show that the use of AURa-BT Module combined with Augmented Reality Technology can improve the reading skills of Tamil words among Year 4 students. The use of AuRa-BT shows an improvement in Tamil reading skills among Year 4 students. In general, this study shows that the use of augmented reality (AR) technology can easily attract students and teachers to improve Tamil word reading skills.

The vision of Society 5.0 includes enhancing the relationship between technology and society as well as the technology-based relationship between individuals and society. This review paper uses a critical analysis method to analyse a Risale-I Nur treatise namely the Damascus Sermon to highlight the importance of kindness as a crucial value in this modern day of Society 5.0. Kindness is considered as virtue. It is the integral part of ethics and identify as genuine and deep concern for others, which strongly relates with the theme and vision of Society 5.0 that empowers each other with the help of technology and develop moral intelligence. The main findings of the analysis is about the term "kindness multiplies" which is one of spiritual remedies that was explained by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi in his famous sermon in Damascus, Syria back in 1911. In the sermon, Nursi appointed severe spiritual sickness that spreads among us and made a clear analysis that give benefits in general hence elaborated how kindness multiplies and grows. Despite its intention and size, not one kindness is ever wasted. It multiplies and grows later in time whether one realized it or not. The analysis discover the concept of "kindness multiplies" and further elaborated how the virtue of kindness is that it multiplies towards goodness and enable society to grow towards solidarity which are essential towards peace and harmony in the society hence proposed further analysis of the treatise to discuss the rest of the remedy for modern times.
This study examined students learning information skills from the multiple perspectives of Malays... more This study examined students learning information skills from the multiple perspectives of Malaysian higher education teachers, librarians and students. Using a qualitative inquiry, the study observed student information skills programs, examined the programs' teaching and learning resources, and interviewed teachers, librarians and students who engaged in the programs. The findings suggest that participants viewed students learning information skills as students engaging in student information practice. Via the process of participation and reification, teachers, librarians and students further identified the practice with six information tasks of students identifying information goal, identifying information sources, retrieving information sources, interacting with information sources, synthesizing information, and negotiating understanding. The study found students learning information skills provide a platform for teachers, librarians and students to mutually participate and sustain the process of students learning in higher education. The findings are essential to assist higher education communities to transform higher education students into knowledge creators as required by the national education framework.

Therefore, this research dived into six spiritual values such as hope, enthusiasm, honesty, love, goodness and solidarity which are fundamental pillars of an individual. These values are cure for social diseases such as hopelessness, sadness, enmity, ruptured and individualism. In efforts to build student's values across curriculum, this research elaborates these values that can be integrated in teaching and learning in details within compact scope. Research findings obtained mainly from document analysis of Damascus Sermon. The sermon was an early work from the Risale-i Nur collection that contains the perspectives of Badiuzzaman Said Nursi. All values obtained are remedies for social diseases nowadays as expected due to advanced technologies, freedom of thoughts and weak grip of religion. Hope is the cure for hopelessness. Enthusiams is remedies for sadness that leads to giving up while honesty heals hypocrisy, deception, betrayals and so forth. The value of love is the fundamental of goodness while the value of goodness is something that multiplies. Last but not least, solidarity heals hostility dan oppression that extended amongst individuals and community. Findings showed that these values are gems that creates individuals personalisty either for Muslims or non-Muslims as well as shaping the society that benefits and love each other.

Thus, we study and showed the mira culousness that happens on how by only the first time surah Al Alaq been revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAW), it already portrays the geometric map as pattern of Al-Quran even though manuscript of Al-Quran not even exists during that time. This study hopefully can show the wondrous of the Al-Quran and also awareness and the greatness of Al-Quran.

Using symbolic interactionism perspective, this qualitative study explored perception, teaching ... more Using symbolic interactionism perspective, this qualitative study explored perception, teaching approaches, and personal beliefs of universiy teachers in Malaysia on students'learning of informafion skills. Data were collected via observing information skills programs and interviewing the teachers involved in the programs. The findings found that the teachers viewed the student participation in information practices progressively and independently Teachers also perceived several pillars that enabled students to participate in the information practices. Following the perception, teachers employed active and guided learning to help students engage in pillars and components of information practices. The findings are useful for assisting various higher education communities, particularly teachers, librarians, and administrators in Malaysian higher education, to better collaborate in transforming higher education students info knowledge creators and innovators, as required by the national economy and education framework.
