The distribution of the incidence of Dengue Fever is influenced by the density of larvae where th... more The distribution of the incidence of Dengue Fever is influenced by the density of larvae where the presence of larvae can be influenced by the quality of the water in the breeding place including salinity, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), temperature, and pH. This study aims to determine the relationship of salinity, DO, temperature, and pH with the presence of larvae. The research method is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample is water in water reservoirs totaling 92 taken using random sampling. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test. The results showed that the p-value of the relationship between salinity and the presence of larvae was 0.022, DO with the presence of larvae was p-value = 0.009, temperature with the presence of larvae was obtained p-value = 0.005, and the p-value for the relationship between pH and the presence of larvae was 0.196. It was concluded that the parameters that were significantly related were salinity, DO, and temperature. The unrelated parameter is pH.

The study purpose to identify the characteristics and predict the risk of water reservoirs that have the potential as a breeding place for the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The study was using descriptive with a quantitative approach. It was conducted in the West Banjarmasin District which consisted of 9 villages (Kuin Selatan, Kuin Cerucuk, Belitung Selatan, Pelambuan, Belitung Utara, Telaga Biru, Telawang, Teluk Tiram, and Basirih). The population was all households in West Banjarmasin District with a total of 10.003 houses. A sample of 100 houses was taken using proportional random sampling. The results showed that 77.8% of households use tap water sources and there are 44,4% use dark colored containers. Abstrak Bakteri mampu menghasilkan siderofor umtuk mengkelat besi dalam lingkungan dan digunakan ... more Abstrak Bakteri mampu menghasilkan siderofor umtuk mengkelat besi dalam lingkungan dan digunakan oleh tanaman sebagai kofaktor dalam pembentukan klorofil untuk pembentukan glukosa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bakteri penghasil siderofor tinggi dari akar nanas Simadu, Kabupaten Subang Provinsi Jawa Barat. Bakteri diisolasi dari akar nanas Simadu, kemudian diseleksi dengan membedakan morfologinya dan diidentifikasi sebagai penghasil siderofor pada media Chrome Azurol S (CAS). Diperoleh 10 isolat bakteri (M1 sampai dengan M10) yang mampu menghasilkan siderofor. Isolat bakteri M7 memiliki kemampuan menghasilkan siderofor tertinggi. Isolat M7 teridentifikasi sebagai bakteri Gram negatif. Hasil analisis pohon filogenetik berdasarkan sekuensing 16S rDNA menunjukkan isolat kelompok genus Providencia. Selama ini kelompok tani Mustang bertani dengan memanfaatkan lahan milik Lanud yang memiliki total luas lahan sebesar ± 4.4 Ha yang dibagi menjadi 20 petakan yang rata-ratanya memiliki luas sebesar ± 0.22 Ha. Usia anak merupakan usia rentan terhadap penyakit. Pediculosis capitis merupakan permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada anak sekolah dasar. Based on National Health Survey data shows that the proportion of ARI as a cause of infant mortality is 27.6%, whereas ARI as the cause of death of children under five is 22,8%.
