One of the major problems in the development of self-driving cars is lane detection and also the detection of the curve in the lane. In this paper, we have discussed various algorithms and combine them to find the lane and curvature of the lane. Our aim to develop a running program that can detect the lane and curve in a running video. We have used the various Computer Vision algorithms and OpenCV libraries for lane and curve detection. With the help of these algorithms and libraries, we were able to find the lane and the curvature of the lane in a running video. But if the lane marking is not present or there is distorted lane marking then the program does not provide the desired output.

Performance Evaluation of Lte and Wimax Network as Per Use Cases

The Communication industry has been preparing new standards to efficiently transport high speed broadband mobile access in a solitary air interface and network architecture at little cost to operators and end users. Two standards, IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) and 4G(3GPP LTE) are most important group towards forming the next generation of mobile network standards. The WiMAX comes from IEEE family of protocols and expand the Wireless access from the LAN to MAN and WAN. The radio resource is divided as bursts in time and frequency domains and used by mobile stations (MS) in a best way. It utilizes a novel physical layer radio access technology called OFDMA for UL and DL. The initial iteration of WiMAX was supported with the TDMA TDD and FDD with line of sight (LOS) propagation across the 10 to 66 GHZ frequency range which was afterward increased to cons...

Today most of the vehicles are equipped with on-board automotive driver assistance system aiming to alert drivers about driving environments, and possible collision with other vehicles has attracted a lot of attention lately. In these systems, robust and reliable vehicle detection is a critical step. This paper presents a review of recent vision-based on-road vehicle detection systems. Our focus is on systems where the camera is mounted on the vehicle and also being fixed such as in traffic/driveway monitoring systems. First, we discuss the problem of on-road vehicle detection using optical sensors followed by a brief review of intelligent vehicle research worldwide. Then, we discuss active and passive sensors to set the stage for vision based vehicle detection. Methods aiming to quickly hypothesize the location of vehicles in an image as well as to verify the hypothesized locations are reviewed next. Tracking of vehicle is also reviewed to illustrate the benefits of exploiting temporal continuity for vehicle detection.

Even though, sufficient studies have performed from history to this era, paper describes the techniques for converting textual content from a paper document into machine readable form. The computer actually recognizes the characters in the document through a revolutionizing technique called Optical Character Recognition (OCR). There are many paper deals with issues such as hand-printed character and cursive handwritten word recognition which describes recent achievements, difficulties, successes and challenges in all aspects of handwriting recognition. Their many papers present a new approach which improves current handwriting recognition systems. Some experimental results are included. Selection of a relevant feature extraction method is probably the single most important factor in achieving high recognition performance with much better accuracy in character recognition systemsn this paper, we describe the formatting guidelines for IJCA Journal Submission.

Fingerprint Recognition Using Multiple Classifier System

The multiple classification technique, based on wavelet and fractal analysis, is used. It is shown that systematic incorporation of decision from various classifiers leads to a better decision rather than simply fusing them. Multiple classifiers can serve as a means of enhancing the performance of pattern recognition problems. Multiple classifier system design involves the problem of classifier fusion. This paper deals with multi-classifier systems in which each classifier uses its own representation of the input pattern, based on features collected from multiple sources. The multiple feature sources considered here are multi-fractals, wavelets and fast Fourier transforms coefficients. A clustering algorithm is used to observe the efficacy of the feature sources. The multiple sources were graded according to their effectiveness of providing more non-overlapping clusters for different g...

Till now, there is no standard method developed. Template matching is one of the methods used for vehicle detection and tracking. There are several researchers and developers worked on this area. Robust and reliable vehicle detection is a critical step of vehicle recognition. This paper presents a review of recent template matching methods for detection and tracking of vehicle. Our focus is on systems where the camera is mounted on the vehicle and being fixed such as in traffic/driveway monitoring systems. We discuss the general template matching followed by problem of on-road vehicle detection using template matching. Also, discuss vehicle recognition through number plate and ways. Finally, we present a critical overview of the methods discussed, and we assess their potential for future deployment, and we present directions for future research.

The extracted feature parameters, Average RR Signal Morphology (ARSM) and RR Interval Frequency Histogram (RIFH) of an ECG signal from pre-selected data segment of the MIT-database shows that they may be utilized to detect some clinically challenging problems like Paroxysmal disease of Heart. For checking the efficiency of a Multidimensional-feature parameter like those mentioned above, we have employed a novel two dimensional display method. Overall, it was shown that the same technique may be employed for comparative study of new as well as old feature parameters extracted from biomedical images and signals.

Water resources play an important role in environmental, transportation and region planning, natu... more Water resources play an important role in environmental, transportation and region planning, natural disaster, industrial and agricultural production and so on. Surveying of water-bodies and delineate its features properly is very first step for any planning, especially for places like India, where the land-cover is dominated by water-bodies. Recording images, such as from satellite, sometimes does not reflect the distinguished characteristics of water with non-water features, e.g. shadows of super structures. Image of water body is confused easily with the shadow of skyscraper, since calm water surface induces mirror reflection when it gives birth to echo wave. Water transport is cheapest. Developing/poor countries like India will be benifitted if water transport is encouraged. In water transport, the link should be made between various land masses, including building blocks, through proper navigational system. Hence there should be clear distinction between calm water and the shadows of buildings. Over the past decade, a significant amount of research been conducted to extract the water body information from various multi-resolution satellite images. The objective of this paper is to review methodologies applied for water body extraction using satellite remote sensing. The Geographic Information System (GIS) and the Global Positioning System (GPS) have also been discussed as they are closely linked with Remote Sensing. Initially, studies on water body detection are treated. Methodological issues related to the use of these methods were analysed followed by summaries. Results from empirical studies, applying water-body extraction techniques are collected and discussed. Important issues for future research are also identified and discussed.

Today the increasing of multimedia content has created an urgent need for copyright enforcement technologies that can protect copyright ownership of multimedia data. Digital Image Watermarking is a technology that developed to protect digital image from illegal manipulations. Watermarking is different from encryption in the sense that it allows the user to interpret, view and access the image but protect the ownership of the digital content. To protect the ownership of content service provider is a crucial area of research. Robustness against geometric distortions is crucial issue in watermarking. We use DWT and IDWT transform to obtain four different frequency images. Watermark is embedded in high-frequency band by svd. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that proposed algorithm is able to withstand variety of attacks including common...

The growth of information has proceeded at an explosive rate in recent years. The size of data available now is beyond the capability of our mind to analyze. Due to the size of the data, it is extremely difficult to draw meaningful conclusions about the data. To overcome the above scenario, data mining technology is introduced. In fact we are busy with data in most fields and not concerned about hidden patterns. To a certain extent, there are not enough qualified human analysts available who are expert at translating all of this data into knowledge and find the interesting patterns. Data Mining is a process that starts with data and ends with previously unknown patterns and knowledge. The Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) process will be used and on the data mining stage the GA is applied in this paper. This series of activities is divided into five steps. The raw data is selecte...
