An improved Direct Torque Controlled (DTC) Induction Motor (IM) is reported in this paper with th... more An improved Direct Torque Controlled (DTC) Induction Motor (IM) is reported in this paper with the aims to produce an adaptive flux controller design to realize the maximum efficiency in DTC IM drives. The value of reference flux is identified through the artificial intelligent neural network (ANN) algorithm with the input power as the objective function. The description of neural network control system as well as the training procedure is explained in this paper. Consequently, the proposed efficient optimizing controller yields an adaptive reference flux, which ensures a minimum input power that leading to the maximum efficiency of the drives systems is achieved. The proposed schemes have been developed and the performance of the IM Drive under different operating condition has been investigated through simulation and experimentally by using the Simulink/MATLAB and digital signal processor of dSPACE. The promising results validate the effectiveness.

Simulation study is used to overcome the appearance of nonlinearities and uncertainties in the system with the proposed controller for the armature voltage controlled DC motors. Each parameter of the Fuzzy-PID controller is self tuned using 49 fuzzy rules in the fuzzy logic controller. The proportional, integral and derivative (K P ,K I ,K D ) gains of the PID controller is being tuned by the controller. Different types of membership functions are evaluated in the fuzzy control and the best performance will be used in Fuzzy-PID for comparative analysis with the conventional PID.The FIS editor from MATLAB defines the membership function and the rules. This paper describes the design of a home fire alarm with Arduino-based system by means of GSM Mo... more This paper describes the design of a home fire alarm with Arduino-based system by means of GSM Module. The project purposely is for house safety where the main point is to avoid the fire accidents occurred to the residents and the properties inside the house as well. It utilizes Arduino Uno board in conjunction with ATmega328 chip. The main controller used is certainly the ATmega328 which controls the home fire alert subjected to the temperature sensor. An LM35 temperature sensor is used to detect the heat from the fire. An alert message will be sent to the user via short message service (SMS) via GSM module. When the system detects the temperature of 40 0 C or more, it will immediately display an alert notification on LCD display and simultaneously sending an SMS alert to the users upon the high raise temperature in the house. Results from the test are documented and discussed. Through this system, it can help users to improve their safety standards by having immediate response in preventing accidents. This will eventually allow the users to protect their lives and the properties as well from the disaster.

The neural network is design as 1-3-1 network structure by feedforward architecture to maintain the speed trajectory specified by reference model. Both offline and online networks were trained by backpropagation algorithm and the updating of weight and bias will be done in the online model. Simulation model were developed for both networks by using MATLAB/Simulink software and the results shows that the performance of online NNIFOC improved rather than offline NNIFOC and robust to load disturbance and parameter variation. In this work, IoT technology is used to water and fertilizing the plants when needed. This system is created to make user’s daily life easier than before since the process of watering and fertilizing the plants can be done by using user’s mobile phone. Moisture sensor is placed at soil to give input to Arduino UNO microcontroller. Then, a user will be notified the condition of the soil moisture through Blynk application at their mobile phone. The water pump then receive an instruction from microcontroller to water the plants with the correct amount of water until the soil dryness reading is change from ‘High’ to ‘Low’. The floods around Dungun area of Terengganu state was due to the combination of physical factors such as elevation and its close proximity to the sea apart from heavy rainfall received during the monsoon period. A flood warning system is designed to warn and alert the owners of the vehicle about the flood immediately. The system will detect water level through an ultrasonic sensor and will automatically send a notification via IoT technology to the owner’s smartphone through the Blynk Application. A water level sensor will be set at two points which is at 0.05m and 0.09m from ground level. Hence, this paper describes the project’s design and development based on IoTs by implementation of Arduino. The project applies Arduino MEGA 2560 board in conjunction with ATmega2560 chip. The main controller (ATmega2560) is used to connect the board with Wi-Fi module as well as to control DC motor, servo motor and LED in the project. The problem cause decrease performance of Induction Motor where it widely used in high-performance applications. In order decrease the fault of speed induction motor, Takagi-Sugeno type Fuzzy logic control is used as the speed controller. For this, a model of indirect field oriented control of induction motor is built and simulating using MATLAB simulink. Secondly, error of speed and derivative error as the input and change of torque command as the output for speed control is applied in simulation. Lastly, from the simulation result overshoot is zero persent, rise time is 0.4s and settling time is 0.4s. The important data is steady state error is 0.01 percent show that the speed can follow reference speed. From that simulation result illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

These problems are solved by the applicant of AC motors, which have simple and rugged structure, high maintainability and economy. But, the main drawback that makes AC motors a retreat from the industry was the inherent coupling between torque and flux. However this disadvantage was amend by the exits of vector control. Hence, this paper presents a Direct Torque Control (DTC) motor drive by using the neural network for electric vehicle (EV). This paper aimed to make enable the application of induction motor drives for EV application and analyze the possible improvement by using the neural network based DTC. EV propulsion using induction motor drive employing DTC is becoming popular because of it's quick response and simple configuration. DTC control the machine with utilizing to~que and flux of motor controlled. It allows the precise and quick control of the induction motor (IM) flux and torque without calling for complex control algorithms. This technique is extensively used in EV application. Simulation studies performed using MATLAB-simulink environment for the proposed method to support thestudy findings. The result shows the performance of the drive system is improved while reducing the torque and current ripple. The effectiveness and precision of this scheme is validated by simulation result, from which it is concluded that the proposed control scheme performed better than conventional DTC.

This article presents two cases in which four dental implants were uncovered using a soft tissue laser. This technique provides an efficient and patient-friendly method to perform second-stage implant surgery, safely allowing a faster rehabilitative phase.
