The Hidden Lifeworld is conceived as a reservoir of latent possibilities, virtues, and creative forces, while the Domain of Actuality represents the realm of necessities, lived experience, and existential constraints. Between these two, the Awakened Spirit System acts as an intelligent, mediating process that transforms latent potentials into worthy, viable, and sustainable realities. The fundamental functions of this system include prudent foresight, cultivation of competencies, adherence to integrity, and the refinement of meaning through distinguishing truth from mental noise. Historically and evolutionarily, this system emerges as a continuation of biological and cultural progression following the genetic system, the nervous system, the emergence of the neocortex, and ultimately, the advent of consciousness and free will. DNA, with its genetic diversity (evidenced by Crick and Watson, 1953) and epigenetic modifications (Winter et al., 2020), provides a stable foundation for biological structures and instinctive behaviors (e.g., migration). Without this complexity, life would remain fragile and unsustainable. 2. Efficiency: The Neocortex As environmental and social complexity increased, the need for faster and more flexible information processing became essential. The neocortex, evolved over the past 200,000 years (Levontin studies), enhanced neuron density and synaptic connections (Suzuki, 2019), enabling abstract thinking and foresight, which facilitated agriculture and urbanization. Without this efficiency, adaptation to complex challenges would be unfeasible. 3. Intelligence: The Awakened Spirit System With societal growth, humans sought meaning and value beyond mere survival and efficiency. The Awakened Spirit System, grounded in the neocortex (Damasio, 2018) and informed by post-positivism (Popper, Kuhn), integrates latent potentials (e.g., creativity) with present necessities (e.g., justice). This article explores peace not as a command to be imposed, but as a living virtue and real possibility grounded in the deep interconnection of three ontological domains: the Hidden Lifeworld (the unseen potentials and inner capacities of existence), the Spirit System (the dynamic process of awakening, reflection, and meaning-making), and the Domain of Actuality (the field of lived, observable conditions). Drawing upon an integrated philosophical-technical framework, we argue that the path to peace begins with the awakening of individual and collective awareness-an inner reorientation that enables the emergence of new modes of ethical invention, social cooperation, and human flourishing. By rethinking the architecture of consciousness, capability, and responsibility, this article proposes that peace becomes not merely an ideal, but a systemic possibility-engineered through conscious engagement with the real and guided by the virtues hidden within our shared lifeworld.

It interacts with the Spirit System-the engine of awakening and inclination toward flourishing-and engages with the Domain of Actuality, the observable and experiential dimension of phenomena, to derive meaning and direction. This nexus facilitates the design of a generative and sustainable ecosystem of invention and innovation, intended to address the crises of actuality (violence, discrimination, exploitation, and environmental degradation) and to enable a transition toward desirable horizons such as dignified human living, liberation from strenuous labor, and the flourishing of human identity.
