Compared to soil-based cultivation, the hydroponic system is an alternative associated with a shortening of growing cycles and a reduction of wasted water amount. The aim of this study was to analyze the growth of lettuce plants under hydroponic and soil cultivation systems, during three phenological growth stages (45; 47 and 49) according to BBCH scale. During the study different morphological and physiological parameters were evaluated: Plant height (PH); Stem diameter (SD); Fresh mass (FM); Dry mass (DM); Leaf area (LA); Chlorophyll content (CC); Transpiration rate (TR). The research was carried out using a complete randomized design with a 2 ⇥ 3 factorial arrangement of cultivation system and growth stages. Plants grown in hydroponic system presented higher values of most parameters, except for DM and TR. The cultivation system had the highest effect on PH, SD and LA. The highest variation between growth stages were observed for PH, LA and CC. Finally, we can conclude that lettuce plants cultivated under hydroponic system, presented better growth parameters associated with higher head weight and yield.

This calculation is absolutely necessary to be predetermined and properly distributed, so that in winter, the animals have required amount of food to survive, in order to develop and reproduce normally. Supplementary food is given only in winter, especially when snow prevents hunting to feed. Complementary food comes, as the name implies, to complement the very poor diet of the animals. The amount of complementary food is based on its quality of each species.

This area was affected by excavation and storage of materials resulting from blasting, excavation, and burning bituminous rocks. The production unit is part of the group III Steierdorf southern Banat Mountains, located in western Semenic-Almaj respectively Anina Mountains. The production unit comprises the upper basin of the valley Minis, a tributary of the river Nera. The lands located on the dumps have an area of 20 ha, are located in the unincorporated town Anina, near Steierdorf neighborhood, across Anina Forestry and Forestry Directorate belongs Resita. For afforestation of degraded lands under study were mainly used species with high ecological amplitude to withstand harsh environmental conditions and shrubs. The material underlying the study is the sapling forest: Pinus sylvestris, Eleagnus angustifolia, Acer pseudoplatanus, Picea abies a...

While gathering information and "fit" their place because they are geographically referenced. The main role for GIS in local government is to create a tool for integration and automated management of cadastral data (in the technical, economic and legal) to generate information support to organizations, services and persons seeking, operating or performing tasks both in the urban and spatial planning as well as the technical and economic aspects of public institutions. This tool provides inventory, organization and distribution of specific information and data archiving historical urban setting and networking potential users by establishing common references unique.

The rules of arrangement must continue to pursue management providing the right framework to promote a sustainable forestry, emphasizing concerns the preservation and enhancement of biodiversity and rational exploitation and continuous multiple functions ecological and socio-economic aspects of forest ecosystems.

Usually, each species habitat preserves a certain degree of individuality, divided only in a lesser degree with other species. Each species is characteristic of a lesser or greater extent a particular biotope, therefore further we present some preferences in terms of habitat for key species in the hunting No.3 Borlova.

The main selection objectives in apple variety improvement process were: tree resistance to frost and drought, resistance to pests and diseases, constant productivity from one year to another, aspect, taste, sugar and vitamina C content. So, the varieties and the local biotypes, wich have some important features, were considered an important germoplasm source, being observed by researchers and other growers. The Caransebeş area is very favorable for apple tree culture because here were maintained many varieties and local biotypes. In this paper there are presented partial results concerning some studied aspects: the fruits bio...

Two types of celery from local market were analysed using CUPRAC and Folin Ciocalteau methods in order to quantify TAC and TPC. Regarding total antioxidant capacity, celery-leaves registered the highest value (expressed in g Trolox equivalent /L extract), over nine times higher than those recorded by peel, raw, baked and boiled celery. Total polyphenols content (expressed in μmoli gallic acid equivalent/mL extract) for raw and processed celery registered close values. Our results show that celery–leaves represent a considerable source of antioxidants in human nutrition.

The most important measure to be taken in connection therewith, is to prohibit the use of substances that are toxic to animals, birds and fish and the environment. Another measure would be appropriate administration and dosage of different mixtures used to combat weeds and pests of agriculture, crop treatments in accordance with the instructions of the environment. It may take action against losses fertilizers treated seeds in large quantities and especially at the ends where crops are fed back or machinery.

To ensure their coexistence conditions and breeding are absolutely necessary studies of relevance game in the winter-spring food calculation and comparison of potential natural food, and so we thought we'd do such a study and we present in this work.

In this study the aim was to identify the most appropriate vineyard floor management, located on flat land or mild slopes, with medium or high soils fertility. The research was carried out during 2011–2013 in the vineyard of the BUASVM Didactic Station from Timisoara and focusing exclusively on several variants of soil maintenance in order to replace the need for manual labor. Leaf area was estimated by concentric circles method and sugar concentration was evaluated by refractometry. Total acidity in must and wine was determined by titration. Grape yield was estimated by bunches counting and weighing, for each variety and productive potential (kg ha-1) was appreciated by multiplying the average yield per vine with the number of vines per hectare. Statistical analysis was performed using GraphPad Prism 6. Performance of Burgundy ...
