Walsh Hadamard Transform (WHT) is an important transformation technique used in image and signal ... more Walsh Hadamard Transform (WHT) is an important transformation technique used in image and signal processing applications like image compression, filtering and speech processing. The WHT becomes an automatic choice in JPEG XR image compression standard due to the simple computation technique. The kernel matrix used in WHT consists of only two values namely +1 and -1, hence input coefficients are either added or subtracted. This paper proposes a high throughput pipelined architecture for computing WHT by reusing common sub-expressions. In the proposed design, computation is performed by adding and subtracting the input data and store the intermediate results (sub-expressions) in the register stacks for reuse. The architecture is designed and implemented in XC3S700AN-4 device and maximum frequency of operation obtained is 162 MHz. The comparison of the computing speed of the proposed architecture with the previously available designs has been done based on the throughput which is defined as the time interval for computing overall results of an 8×8 image matrix. The proposed architecture consumes 395 nS time (Throughput) to generate the result of an 8×8 image matrix which is 51% lesser than that of the best available design.

For this to improve, the researchers suggest for Agriculture as a Service (AaaS) model which is basically an Application as a Service. IoT helps to share the data which can be processed using Big Data techniques by storing into a cloud. Unconventional method of material removal processes have been developed to evade the difficulties in making of complex shapes in any electrically conductive work material with the help of traditional machining methods. Decision-making is progressively important in manufacturing domain due to its need for manufacturing components with quality and high precision. Stellite6 is difficult to machine and expansively used in wear surroundings where its low friction coefficient minimizes the danger of seizing and galling. The present work details the development of multiple regression equations for predicting the desired performance features in Wire EDM of Stellite material. Pulse On Time (ls), Pulse Off Time (ls) and peak current are selected as input variables and the material removal rate (MRR) is opted as performance characteristics in this present experimentation. The experimental runs are planned by Taguchi's design approach and Taguchi's single objective optimization technique was employed for attaining the best possible process parameters combination for obtaining better machining performance. Multiple regression analysis has been applied for developing empirical relationship among the process parameters. The developed regression equations are further used for prediction and comparison with the actual experimental results. The comparative results shows that the values predicted are closer with the experimental outcomes. The outcome attained from this exploration will be a wide-ranging support to the manufacturers for enhancing the rate of production and quality of products made with an assistance of WEDM process.

Copper-Nickel-Tin (Cu-Ni-Sn) spinodally decomposable alloy of composition Cu-7Ni-4Sn was prepared... more Copper-Nickel-Tin (Cu-Ni-Sn) spinodally decomposable alloy of composition Cu-7Ni-4Sn was prepared by using sand casting process. The specimens required for microscopic examination, micro-hardness and wear tests were prepared from heat treated (homogenization, solution and ageing) cast rods. The microscopic examination results revealed that the as-cast dendrite structure was disappeared during the homogenization, solution and ageing processes and forms grains of various sizes with respect to ageing time. The hardness of the alloy was increased from 206 HV at solution treated condition to 235 HV at four hours of ageing. By using pin-on-disc wear tester in dry sliding condition an adhesive wear test was conducted as per L9 orthogonal array by taking parameters of applied load, sliding speed and ageing time. An optimum level of parameter for each case was determined through S/N ratio investigation by considering "smallerthe-better". From this investigation, it was found that the parameter ageing time was the dominant as compared to other two parameters. The significant parameter that affect the response was indicated by the results obtained from ANOVA and these results were agreed with S/N analysis. The developed linear regression equation was validated through confirmation experiments. The wear mechanism was observed on worn out surfaces by selecting appropriate specimens considering applied load and sliding speed for both normal and optimum parameter specimens using scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Fourteen concrete beams reinforced with 500MPa longitudinal steel bars, of which 6 with skin rein... more Fourteen concrete beams reinforced with 500MPa longitudinal steel bars, of which 6 with skin reinforcement and 8 without skin reinforcement, were tested under two-point symmetrical concentrated static loading to investigate their flexural behavior. The results indicate that the flexural behavior and deflection mode of test beams with skin reinforcement are basically consistent with those of test beams without skin reinforcement. The use of skin reinforcement can significantly reduce average crack spacing and short-time maximum crack width. And the use of skin reinforcement can also slightly increase the short-time stiffness. Under the serviceability limit state, mid-span deflections are in good agreement with the calculated values according to formula in GB50010-2010. However most of calculated average crack spacing and short-time maximum crack width are larger than measured values. According to the test results, the normal formula of crack width should be revised.
