This work attempts to propose a channel assignment scheme for interference zones of 2.4 GHz backhaul of Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN). The static nodes of Infrastructure based Backhaul employing directional antennas to connect static nodes, orthogonal channel zones introducing Interference are formatted with the selection of single tire direct hop and two tier directional hopes. The effort maintain the orthogonality of channels on system thus reduce the co-channel interference between inter flow and intra flow links. Group of non-overlapping channels of selected band are obtained by a mathematical procedure, interference is modeled by directed graph and Channel assignment is carried out with the help of greedy algorithms. Experimental analysis of the technical proposal is done by simulation through OPNET 14. Our...

End-to-end application performance and throughput of vehicular cognitive transport control protoc... more End-to-end application performance and throughput of vehicular cognitive transport control protocol depend on how efficiently the segments (TCP header) are being transmitted from source to destination. One way to enhance the performance of vehicular cognitive TCP protocol is by reducing the packet drops in between the source and destination. In general, packet drops occur in between the source and destination of Cognitive Radio Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (CR-VANET) because of spectrum handoff or cognitive node handoff, or network congestion. In this paper, we focus on enhancing the performance of cognitive TCP protocol through “cognitive AODV routing protocol with the spectrum handoff mechanism.” In the proposed work, channel-route control messages of cognitive AODV routing protocol are updated with the support of spectrum handoff which helps to provide the backup opportunistic channel during PU active and helps to reduce the end-to-end spectrum handoff packet drops. Simulation result...

Efficient and early prediction of people having PD is a key issue to improve patient's quality of life. The diagnosis of PD specifically in its initial stages is extremely complex and time-consuming. Thus, the accurate and efficient diagnosis of PD has been a significant challenge for medical experts and practitioners. In order to tackle this issue and to accurately diagnosis the patient of PD, we proposed a machine-learning-based prediction system. In the development of the proposed system, the support vector machine (SVM) was used as a predictive model for the prediction of PD. The L1-norm SVM of features selection was used for appropriate and highly related features selection for accurate target classification of PD and healthy people. The L1-norm SVM produced a new subset of features from the PD dataset based on a feature weight value. For the validation of the proposed system, the K -fold cross-validation method was used. In addition, the metrics of performance measures, such as accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, F1 score, and execution time, were computed for model performance evaluation. The PD dataset was in this paper. The optimal accuracy achieved the best subset of the selected features that might be due to various contributions of the PD features. The experimental findings of this paper suggest that the proposed method can be used to accurately predict the PD and can be easily incorporated in healthcare for diagnosis purpose. Currently, the computer-based assisted predictive system is playing an important role to assist in PD recognition. In addition, the proposed approach fills in a gap on feature selection and classification using voice recordings data by properly matching the experimental design.

In heart disease, the heart is unable to push the required amount of blood to other parts of the body. Accurate and on time diagnosis of heart disease is important for heart failure prevention and treatment. The diagnosis of heart disease through traditional medical history has been considered as not reliable in many aspects. To classify the healthy people and people with heart disease, noninvasive-based methods such as machine learning are reliable and efficient. In the proposed study, we developed a machine-learning-based diagnosis system for heart disease prediction by using heart disease dataset. We used seven popular machine learning algorithms, three feature selection algorithms, the cross-validation method, and seven classifiers performance evaluation metrics such as classification accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, Matthews’ correlation coefficient, and execution time. Therefore they transport raw materials and intermediate products between plants for manufacturing. Additionally these enterprises have to distribute their final products to far away consumers. In this context, it is difficult and not cost effective for these enterprises to manage their own transport vehicles. Thus they outsource their transportation tasks to third party logistics enterprises. These enterprises group transport orders of multiple enterprises together in order to reduce cost and travels number. The objective of this paper is to present a distributed architecture planning of transportation activities aimed at better utilize transport resources by grouping several orders of transport for each effective displacement .

Multitrack balloon (MTB) catheter is one of the techniques used for PMV with optimal results. We describe a novel refinement of appropriate balloon sizing and wire placement to reduce mitral regurgitation (MR) and Left ventricular (LV) apical perforation, respectively. Ninety four consecutive patients with moderate to severe rheumatic mitral stenosis (MS) were selected for PMV with MTB catheter. Balloon sizing was done by effective balloon dilatation area (EBDA), using standard geometric formula. 0.35" PMV wire was placed in aortic arch /ascending aorta (AA) to avoid LV apical perforation. Mild MR was present in 28(29.8%). Post-procedure MR was present in 50(53.2%). Out of 50 MR cases 44(88%) had mild and 6(12.0%) had moderate MR. No patient had severe MR. With placement of wire in AA and arch of aorta none of the patients developed complication of LV apical perfo...

Artificial nutritional support should therefore be a logical component of treatment. This review examines the evidence in favour of initiating nutritional support in these patients and the effects of such support on the course of the disease. Methods Medline and Science Citation Index searches were performed to locate English language publications on nutritional support in acute pancreatitis in the 25 years preceding December 1999. Manual cross-referencing was also carried out. Letters, editorials, older review articles and most case reports were excluded. Results and conclusion There is no evidence that nutritional support in acute pancreatitis affects the underlying disease process, but it may prevent the associated undernutrition and starvation, supporting the patient while the disease continues and until normal and sufficient eating can be resumed. The...
