In this paper, we propose and test experimentally a real-time 10 Gbps polarization independent qu... more In this paper, we propose and test experimentally a real-time 10 Gbps polarization independent quasicoherent receiver for NG-PON2 access networks. The proposed 10 Gbps quasicoherent receiver exhibits a sensitivity of-35.2 dBm after 40 km SSMF transmission with a commercial generic EML as transmitter. This sensitivity means a 14.9 dB improvement over a direct detection scheme with a photodiode after 40 km SSMF transmission. Therefore, the use of the proposed 10 Gbps quasicoherent receiver with the tested EML will provide a power budget of 35.64 dB (class E2) and a splitting ratio of 128 after the 40 km SSMF transmission. Finally, the proposed 10 Gbps quasicoherent receiver allows a colorless and optical filterless operation because wavelength selection is done by tuning the local oscillator wavelength and using electrical intermediate frequency filtering.

In the network layer, physical parameters aware algorithms are foreseen to pursue reliable network performance. In the physical layer, some new M&C methods were developed and rating of the A. The most relevant low level design aspects are addressed. Using sinusoidal amplitude-modulation (AM) of an infrared carrier, differential distances between a mobile emitter, the position of which is to be obtained, and fixed receivers are measured. The system may yield accuracies at the level of a few cm and addresses applications for which the increasingly available wireless technologies and smart phone sensors are not sufficient. Such applications comprise e.g., positioning mobile-robots in a manufacturing plant or positioning tools on a construction site. FUSIÓN DE ALGORITMOS PARA DETECTAR OBJETOS EN MOVIMIENTO

RESUMEN La detección de objetos en movimiento es una tarea común en aplicaciones de visión comput... more RESUMEN La detección de objetos en movimiento es una tarea común en aplicaciones de visión computacional. En este trabajo se presenta un estudio sobre la fusión de dos algoritmos de detección de movimiento. Esta fusión se realiza, aplicando a las imágenes un algoritmo de detección de movimiento que utiliza el método del Análisis de Componentes Principales, y el resultado de éste algoritmo se usa como entrada para el algoritmo de detección de movimiento basado en un test de relación de probabilidades de orden reducido. Los resultados alcanzados muestran que la segmentación y la umbralización es menos afectada por el ruido, cuando se fusionan los algoritmos, esto queda demostrado en las gráficas y los resultados cuantitativos que se incluyen en este trabajo. These electronic systems have been designed to meet a wide range of needs experienced by users of this type of wheelchair. One of their most important features is their modularity, thereby making them adaptable to the particular needs of each user according to the type and degree of handicap involved. The overall system includes a complete user±machine interface, motor control modules and safety and autonomous guidance systems. In this paper, an approach of a colorless ONU comprised by a Fabry-Pérot filter and a Semiconduct... more In this paper, an approach of a colorless ONU comprised by a Fabry-Pérot filter and a Semiconductor Optical Amplifier for all-optical clock recovery of the downstream signal, followed by a Mach-Zehnder modulator as the upstream modulator is experimentally demonstrated. The all-optical clock recovery performs data erasure allowing for efficient wavelength reuse of the downstream signal for upstream remodulation. Operation at a fullduplex 10Gb/s symmetrical data rate and 20 dB loss budget is demonstrated over fiber spans of 50 km with achieved power margin of ~8 dB.
