Description of the data obtained with the CCD detectors of the Coherent Neutrino Nucleus Interaction Experiment (CONNIE)

This paper reproduces the energy spectrum measured by the CCD (Charge-Coupled Devices) detectors ... more This paper reproduces the energy spectrum measured by the CCD (Charge-Coupled Devices) detectors of the CONNIE experiment that looks for the Coherent Elastic Scattering process between Antineutrinos coming from a nuclear reactor and silicon nuclei. The background registered by the CCDs were studied with the GEANT4 toolkit, through the simulation of atmospheric muons and beta particles coming out from the lead used to shield the detectors. The amount of both contributions were estimated from data, with the result that the contribution of Beta particles is negligible in this case.
