Drawing on gender role theory, the study investigates gender as a moderator. Using a cross-sectional field survey, data from 342 children aged 9-12 years from Pakistani schools were collected. The results revealed a significant relationship among social factors, environmental factors, physical literacy, and individual factors that affect sports participation, physical fitness, and sedentary behavior. We also tested the moderating role of gender with social factors, environmental factors, physical literacy, and individual factors' effect on sports participation, physical fitness, and sedentary behavior; every hypothesis, aspects 6c, 7a, and 8b, was validated. We discuss the findings' importance for gender research and practice, as well as the factors that influence schoolchildren's physical activity levels. Future research directions and policy implications are suggested.

In this research, moral disengagement and leader-member exchange play the moderator roles, while the silent observer may act as a mediator. Two studies conducted among Moroccan textile managers in Morocco are used to evaluate these hypotheses: a longitudinal survey (N=330). The findings show that when workers observe their supervisors excluding other coworkers, they remain silent about unethical behavior. Employees with positive ties with their supervisor are more likely to experience the negative relationship between silent behavior and supervisor ostracism. In addition to establishing mediation moderation insights, this article explains how silence behavior mediates the relationship between a supervisor's ostracism with unethical pro-organizational behavior and unethical pro-family behavior. Also, LMX plays a moderating relationship in supervisor ostracism and silence behavior. Furthermore, moral disengagement moderates the relationship between silence behavior with unethical pro-organizational behavior and unethical pro-family behavior.

Thus, it's important to know what elements can lessen employee silence. This study examines how team empowerment inhibits silence behavior and team performance, drawing on attribution theory and self-verification theory. In the meantime, we also look at how perceptions of corporate social responsibility moderate. We collected data from 276 employees working in a pharmaceutical company in Athens, Greece. The result indicates that benevolent leadership has a negative influence on team empowerment through team performance and silent behavior. Furthermore, corporate social responsibility moderates the relationship between benevolent leadership and team empowerment. In particular, when workers felt that corporate social responsibility was higher, this indirect effect was more pronounced. Our findings, which combine research on silence behavior and self-verification theory, offer crucial insights into how to regulate employee silence behavior in workplaces.

SNS has specific influence on cultural dynamics in countries like Pakistan. This study explores that how SNS (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tok-tok) influence psychological wellbeing, identity formation and social behavior of Pakistani teenagers. Here we can examine influence of SNS on Pakistani culture, by checking the shifting values, norms and social perception. Data collected from teenagers (through semi structured in depth interviews from 30 teenagers in two phases over a period of six months) in major Pakistani cities highlight the changing dynamics in behavior and cultural identity of Pakistani youth. This article shed light on Positive and negative effects of social media usage among Pakistani teenagers and uncover the emerging themes related to self-perception, social norms, mental health and cultural shifts. Results indicate a strong relationship between use of social media and cultural transformation in Pakistan. Theory of social influence and uses and gratifications theory confirm the results of this study. There are also some limitations of this study, which includes regional scope. Future research direction led to check the impact of SNS across various demographics. Moreover, qualitative research is basically subjective in nature, as a result it could be affected by the bias of researchers. So, quantitative research study can be conducted in future in order to validate the findings.

We seek moral attentiveness moderating role among moral deficits and psychological entitlement with creative stress and creative performance. A cross-sectional method was used for data collection; 250 samples were collected from an IT employee working in a Software house in Leads and Manchester, England. The analysis employed strong measures of reliability (Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability), validity (convergent and discriminant validity), regression, and correlation. The mediation moderating effect was tested and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in SmartPLS 3.0. Our results show that a positive relationship between negative workplace gossip affects moral deficits and psychological entitlement and is moderated by moral attentiveness. Lastly, we highlight its managerial implications and possible directions for further study.

Many reports have showed that women nowadays are becoming more dominant and aggressive than men. The purpose of this study is to raise the awareness of domestic violence against men to the people. Firstly, research found out that domestic violence against men is not a concern and even ignored by the people because it is hard to identify domestic violence against men as the male victims always choose to keep silence. Therefore, in this paper, one may study the factors that why the male victims choose to be silent and do not report against the violence. Secondly, this paper also studied the factor of why this domestic violence is becoming more serious and why people are doing it. After that, it is important to let the people know the form of domestic violence and what amounts to domestic violence, so one can identify it. Domestic violence does not necessarily involve physical violence but it also includes sexual and mental abuse. People must know these forms in order to identify the victims and help them. Other than that, research had also observed how other countries cope with this problem and how they deal with an abused man. The paper also provided where the abused male can seek help when the violence happens in Malaysia. People shall be aware of domestic violence, not only to women but also men, and it is the task of everyone to overcome this issue. Authorities, which are protecting women, shall also help abused men.

The main purpose of this project is to develop an interactive medical communication board that would be adaptable both in terms of language and metaphor and which would be tested on different populations as to its efficacy in clinic diagnosis to help new female immigrants and their children. Therefore, this study intends to develop an assistive visualization tool of medical communication to achieve the objective of friendly communication among foreign spouses, ill children, and medical service. Good visual communication of health information is now understood to be critical for patient well-being. Design draft and discussion with users were conducted. This research project focuses on integrating medical and design professional fields to develop medical information and auxiliary communication tool, as well as to design doctor-patient communication APP prototype concept. The study mainly adopted interview, observation, and User Experience Innovation Design (UXID) to carry out interviews with 24 Vietnamese and Indonesian new immigrant women. These firsthand practical data were then transcribed and sorted out. By designing an APP prototype, researchers finally achieved the purpose of assisting new immigrant women in seeking healthcare and expressing their symptoms.
The paper explores the relationship between gender roles and development infrastructure projects ... more The paper explores the relationship between gender roles and development infrastructure projects in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector in rural Uganda, by looking at the influence of various factors such as education and governance. Men and women hold different roles and responsibilities within WASH in rural areas of developing countries, and, therefore, perform different duties. In Uganda, women are the primary managers of water resources at household level, and are the main drivers for sanitation and hygiene practice at household level; men are concerned with the commercial use of water. Insights into developing infrastructure that addresses the needs of communities could emerge from understanding the multiple dimensions of the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that affect the roles that men and women play within the WASH sector. Fieldwork has been undertaken in a number of rural communities in south Uganda, where group discussions and interviews were conducted with key players in the WASH sector, government representatives, and people from the communities. The qualitative data collected provide an understanding of how gender roles are influenced by other factors, as they are dependent on, and formed by, other social structures, and consequently how this relationship influences infrastructure. The findings highlight the importance of good leadership by both men and women at community level, which leads to improvements in WASH infrastructure provision. Moreover, there seems to be a strong relationship between educating women and improved sanitation and hygiene practices. Finally, cultural attributes seem to have a strong influence on the way men and women view water and sanitation tasks, how they perform them, and how they engage with and value the infrastructure. The paper gives an overview of the findings and suggests future research can lead to new evidence to support gender-sensitive infrastructure.

The partici- pants(n = 69) were 34 people in an experimental group and 35 in a control group. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pre/post-test design was used. Data was collected from the experimental group and the control group between September and October of 2017. This study was performed after obtaining approval by IRB(Institutional Review Board) and an agreement by the objects. The Women’s health nursing STBL program was operated by a researcher personally and run for 50 minutes per week over six weeks in total. It measured self-directed learning ability, learning attitude and problem solving ability of the participants before and after the program. As a result, it has shown that the STBL program exerted a significant influence on the prob- lem solving ability for women health nursing learning(p < 000), but not on the self-directed learning ability and the learning attitude. Therefore, college education courses seem to need to be supplemented in order to foster outstanding and problem-solving nursing resources. The Women’s health nursing STBL program will be helpful to improve problem solving ability of nursing students rather than a lecture class.

A huge number of people in utilizing internet is shown in Indonesia in many areas including at the coastal area. Some literatures underline that the internet could bring the prosperity for society and improve development. It is interesting to observe on how the internet could improve people’s lives especially women in coastal areas. Also, there is a lack of study on how women at coastal area “see” the internet. This study is to explore the understanding of women in coastal area in Indonesia especially in Sukabumi, West Java province about the internet. This place also has a high rate catch of fish and women cultivate the fish. Qualitative research method is applied on this study based on observation and interview with some women. The result shows that most of women have a sophisticated mobile phone, but they sometimes do not know about its application on it. Thus, the internet is remained abandon and women do not use the internet in order to have information. Further to this, most of their children know how to use the internet such as play the game and using media social such as facebook, instagram and whatsapp. As the implication of this study, the local government should be able to enforce the women to utilize the internet and let the society becomes media literate.

It is a quasi-experimental research of nonequivalent control group pre/post-test design. 33 people each of an experimental group and a control group participated in this research(n = 66). After operating the one-time laughter therapy to the two groups, this study measured their stress response, school life adjustment and ego-resilience at the same period of time. The result demonstrated that their stress response was p = .040 and their school life adjustment was p = .012, which meant that the one-time laughter therapy exerted a significant influence on them. Therefore, it suggests that the one-time laughter therapy can help college nursing students relieve their stress and adjust to their school life well.

Women are confronted with social attitudes as modelled by males who are comfortable with this cultural environment. Women are brought up in a male society, where we find discrimination between genders in roles, behaviours, occupations, and jobs. The main obstacle for women entrepreneurs in Algeria is that entrepreneurship was reserved for males, therefore, considered as a male’s occupation. Social attitudes confirm this reality as jobs have a relationship with gender, and it is an adventure for women to engage in this occupational activity. To be entrepreneurs, women will have to face negative reactions and pressures from society: the family, the neighbours, men, and even females. Several people, including females, do not accept to work under the supervision of women. In order to shed light on this problem, a questionnaire was used for the collection of data, and filled in by a sample of 30 randomly chosen women entrepreneurs. Means and percentages of answers were computed. Social attitudes were found to be the source of constraints and cause problems for women entrepreneurs in Algeria.

Amongst the clus- ter of advertising and its different forms, increase in usage of political advertising has become a global phenomenon. Political campaign planning is the theater of confrontation among different manner of administrating power that influences the life of the people. Social media has caused major changes and has become useful resource often used by the politicians in order to strengthen their visibility and develop an informal identity and a relationship with the citizens. In recent years right type of political advertising that can hit the chords of the consumers has become an integral component of the election parties and many consider it far more intrusive than routine commercial advertising. The SBM campaign was launched in 2014 by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with clear objectives to create awareness about sanitation, to bring behavioral changes amongst the people, to improve and educate people about the issues of open defecation and to make them aware of health and environmental consequences. Since India is on the track, on becoming an economically and technologically empowered nation, the launch of SBM mission and many more powerful political campaigns has revamped the picture of India as a socially empowered nation. In my research initially, I found that public was not aware of cleanliness, people were not using public toilets due to unavailability or no easy access to toilets. Indian Government has realized these issues of personal and environmental cleanliness and hence has felt the need to take proper care of this issue. In a country like India where political structure is not stable for long, there is a need for all political parties to understand how to develop and maintain this mission so that SBM is not restricted to one Political party but encompasses the good of the whole country irrespective of the governing political parties. I have reached my conclusion by actual survey of a cross-section of people from different strata of society, through a questionnaire. Hence my study on Indian political advertising will justify its strong impact on society.

Therefore, an intervention program is needed in the form of an educational method about the benefits and provision of vegetables and fruits at the household level, which can arouse the emotions, and memories of the mother. This study aims to implement the emotional demonstration education method in providing reinforcement of mother's intentions and actions in providing a menu of vegetables and fruit for the family. The research method used quasi-experiment with The nonequivalent control group design. The target population is 649 people, with a sample of 90 housewives (divided into 2 groups; 45 interventions and 45 controls) in two villages. Pre- post-test measurements were carried out to obtain the strengthening of intention and action aspects in providing vegetables and fruits at the household level. The results showed that there was an increase in the intention of housewives in the intervention group by 6.8 points at the value of p = 0.003, while in the control group, the opposite occurred in the form of a decrease in the score of 6.8 (p = 0.229). In addition, there was also an increase in the percentage of housewives who had good actions after the intervention in the two groups, but the number of percentage increases in the intervention group was much greater at 82.3% (p = 0.000) compared to the control group which was only 2.3% (p = 1.000). It was concluded that the intervention using the emotional demonstration method could strengthen the intention and improve the mother's actions in providing a menu of vegetables and fruit for her family. It is recommended that relevant parties such as the health office, health center, and government at the village level be able to collaborate in promoting educational efforts about the importance of providing a menu of vegetables and fruits with the main goal of mothers using the emotional demonstration method integrated into the community movement program to eat fruits and vegetables.

Policy makers in several countries have responded by developing specific gender- based enterprise support programs, often as part of wider poverty alleviation programs. In recent decades, microfinance has emerged as a favorite of both public and private sector entities as a tool with which to tackle unemployment, and to engender the socio-economic development of deprived areas. Specif- ically, microfinance programs targeted at women have come to be considered as uniquely placed to facilitate their economic freedom in settings where they are thought to face heightened gender-based challenges. The conceptualization and policy responses to those challenges typically vary due in part to contrasting environmental variables, and there is a need to examine these issues in their appropriate context. The project to which this paper contributes therefore broadly investigates the environment in which microfinance is accessed and administered within the United Arab Emirates to groups of female entrepreneurs. As a corollary to this broad objective, the present paper derives two aims of its own: First, it overviews the literature on the institutional context for microfinance in the UAE with a view to synthesizing the deployment approaches for microfinance programs in the UAE. Secondly, it surveys existing literature on the impact of the administration of microfinance programs on women's entrepreneurial motivation and activities in the UAE. The paper concludes with remarks that highlight the distinctiveness of the impact of gender on microfinance in the UAE with respect to lending methods, loan sizes, repayment levels and subsequent enterprise performance.

This research uses multiple regression on panel data of a sample of 24 companies listed in index LQ45 for the period from 2013 to 2017 with 61 female CEOs and 59 male CEOs in the sample. This research is using CEO gender as independent variable; cash holdings and over-investment of free cash flow as dependent variable. Other CEO characteristic such as age, education, tenure, firm size, market-to-book ratio, leverage, cash flow, capex, networking capital, dividend, free cash flow, managerial and state ownership as control variable. The research finds a positive significant influence between female CEOs, cash holdings and over-investment. The results also show that female CEOs are having a higher level of cash holdings and resulted in lower level of over-investment problems. Female CEO also can mitigate the agency problem in the firm. The UET theory is used to support the findings in which CEO characteristic can influence the company,s performance and financial decision. UET literature focuses on executive demographic to explain corporate investment decision while this paper extends the application of the UET in the area of accounting.
