The term "school readiness" describes a child's ability to transition to school smoothly and successfully. Even among children of the same age, there are differences in a child's school readiness. The problem in today's society is that many parents think that the only aspect needed for children to enter primary school is the cognitive aspect, which includes the ability to write, read and count. The impact of this view is that many parents demand their children to be able to read, write and calculate after graduating from kindergarten because of the intense competition among favorite schools. In this study, a qualitative descriptive technique was used. The research was conducted at Ummul Habibah PreSchool , Klambir V Kebun village, Deli Serdang Regency. In this study, data collection methods used interview and observation. The three-pronged approach were used as data analysis-data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. Based on the data result, the 5 children who were given the CPM and NST tests, had readiness to join the next school level. These children have adequate absorption and intelligence in solving problems and have adequate concentration. One of the intelligence factors in children's readiness to enter primary school can be explained that children who have high intelligence tend to have intelligent behavior in making decisions and solving problems. The results in the study illustrate that students who have high problem-solving test scores also have high scores in completing the readiness test (NST) and vice versa for students whose low problem solving test scores are also followed by low scores.

The current manual attendance methods show limitations, such as potential inaccuracies in recording and the risk of cheating, such as attendance proxies. To overcome these challenges, this study applies the CNN approach with Python and OpenCV, enabling automatic face detection and recognition for students. The system accurately logs attendance by identifying faces in real time. Testing indicates that the system records attendance reliably, whether with a single individual or with multiple faces present within a single frame.

The research explores institutional discourse in news articles that align with government narratives, while user comments reflect a spectrum of responses, from support to opposition. Using qualitative content analysis, this study applies critical discourse analysis (CDA) and sentiment analysis to examine linguistic strategies, ideological framing, and sentiment polarity. The data were taken from news texts and the comment section on Facebook Detikcom, collected through documentation and following several stages of observation, careful reading, selection, and classification. The findings show that social media transforms news consumption into a participatory discourse. This indicates that traditional narratives are challenged and reinterpreted by users. Sentiment clustering and engagement metrics further shape the visibility and influence of competing ideologies. This study contributes to digital discourse research by demonstrating that sentiment functions as an ideological tool in crisis communication. The analysis also highlights the evolving role of social media in public discourse and emphasizes the need for critical engagement with online news narratives and user-generated content.

This study aims to find out the types of verbs that occur before the five self-related compound nouns (self-esteem, self-confidence, self-assurance, self-worth, and selfrespect), and investigate their collocational patterns. The data in this study were obtained from the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA). The data were collected by applying the documentation method. The technique involved searching for five compound nouns within the corpus and recording instances of their use. These occurrences, along with their collocates, were then copied and organized in an Excel spreadsheet. In the spreadsheet, columns were adjusted to separate and classify key elements such as the compound noun, the collocating verb, frequency data, and context sentences. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively to provide insights into lexical patterns, the types and tokens of frequency. The results show that the verbs that collocate with five self-related compounds in COCA vary in number and frequency, with self-confidence showing the highest types (20) and self-assurance the lowest (9). The verb build appears most frequently with self-confidence and self-esteem (4 tokens each), suggesting both are viewed as qualities that can be constructed or improved. Self-respect predominantly collocates with have (4 tokens), implying it is seen as possessive, while self-worth reflects both positive and negative framing through increase and reduce (2 tokens each). In contrast, self-assurance is frequently associated with lack (4 tokens) and show (2 tokens), indicating its absence or visibility. These patterns reveal that verb collocates offer important insights into how language frames self-constructions.

Pre-service teachers identified the need for more targeted training in understanding students' individual learning styles and needs, especially when dealing with large classrooms and limited resources. The findings also suggest that collaborative learning among educators, through workshops and peer mentoring, plays a significant role in overcoming the challenges of DI. In addition, institutional support was identified as a key factor in facilitating the effective use of DI. Participants reported that a lack of resources, such as teaching aids and time, was a primary barrier to the full implementation of DI. Schools and educational institutions were urged to provide more resources and structured support systems to enable teachers to tailor their teaching methods to accommodate the varying abilities of their students. Furthermore, the integration of technology was highlighted as an effective strategy to differentiate instruction, allowing teachers to cater to diverse learning needs in a more flexible and engaging manner. For instance, digital tools such as learning management systems and interactive applications were utilized by some participants to create personalized learning paths for students, fostering both engagement and motivation. These strategies not only helped overcome some of the limitations faced by the teachers but also allowed students to engage more actively with the learning material. Ultimately, this study emphasizes that the successful implementation of Differentiated Instruction requires a collaborative effort between pre-service teachers, their educational institutions, and ongoing support systems.
