Dans un systeme audio pour disques optiques ou magnetiques, au cours d'une lecture classique,... more Dans un systeme audio pour disques optiques ou magnetiques, au cours d'une lecture classique, les donnees audio sont decodees et reproduites a partir du disque (RDISC), sous la direction d'une commande de presentation (PC), et des sous-codes indiquant la duree sur le disque, le numero de pistes et ainsi de suite, sont generes. En fonction du materiel du systeme, pour certaines vitesses et directions (autres que la lecture normale), le decodage des sous-codes reels du disque peut ne pas etre possible, un module emulateur (EMU) etant mis en marche a ce moment-la. L'emulateur (EMU) lit un disque virtuelle (VDISC) en utilisant un circuit de synchronisation (TIM) et la table des matieres (TOC) du disque reel. Lorsque les donnees audio ne sont pas reproduites, l'affichage de la piste et de la duree (DISP) est mis a jour, une mise a jour particuliere etant destinee a chaque seconde de la duree de lecture du disque reel. This thesis considers the effect the transition to outcomes based education (OBE) has had on engi... more This thesis considers the effect the transition to outcomes based education (OBE) has had on engineering educators and engineering education in the Institutes of Technology (IoTs) in Ireland. Whereas engineering education research into learning outcomes largely focuses on how teaching may better align with their use, the focus of this research, the effect OBE has on both engineering educators and engineering education, receives little attention in the literature. I conduct this research as an engineering educator seeking to understand how we have been shaped by OBE, and how this is affecting the education of future generations of engineers. My research employs a qualitative methodology, in which I consider this impact as perceived and experienced by a sample of IoT engineering academics.
