Their performance is highly superior to that of conventional Seven-level inverters due to reduced harmonic distortion, lower electromagnetic interference, and higher dc link voltages. In this paper, a new topology with a reversing-voltage component is proposed to improve the multilevel performance. This topology requires fewer components compared to existing inverters (particularly in higher levels) and requires fewer carrier signals and gate drives. Therefore, thecomplexity is greatly reduced particularly for higher output voltage levels. The Proposed 15-level inverter is modelled and simulated in Matlab 2012a using Simulink and Sim Power Systems set tool boxes

This project looks at a novel method of monitoring a patient's health without the doctor physically being present there. This monitoring system assists the doctor in carrying out medical tests and also provides patient-doctor interaction, when the doctor cannot be physically present near the patient. The proposed system uses a variety of sensors to monitor human body parameters like Temperature, Pulse and ECG sensors. These sensors are integrated together and their output is made available to the doctor in a virtual form. The sensors are integrated to LabVIEW through NI myRIO to provide a GUI based environment and monitoring parameters are displayed on the LabVIEW front panel. The doctor can access the front panel in his mobile phone using the Wi-Fi connection of myRIO.

This is a field where every other person can start with their own farming system. But farmers of current environment don’t have the intelligent process involved in it. So there is an alarming need for the intelligent farming processes. New methods have to be incorporated from the conventional ways of farming to achieve efficient farming. Among all the problems that the farmers are facing, most common and important problem that the farmers have is water problem. They have scarcity of water for the farming because of irregular presence of water availability due to floods and sometimes due to drought. So there is a need for smart water management and conserving the systems to effectively utilize the water whenever required. Addressing the problems faced by the farmers in the proper utilisation of the water in the farming, this work proposes an IoT based water management syste...

The bioavailability of valsartan is 23% indicating extensive first pass metabolism in liver. In the present research work an attempt has been made to prepare fast dissolving tablets of valsartan by using direct compression technique using sodium starch glycolate, croscarmellose sodium, kyronT-314 and crospovidone are used as a superdisintegrants. The prepared tablets were evaluated for pre and post-compressional parameters. The values of pre-compression parameters evaluated were within prescribed limits and indicated good free flowing property. All the post compression parameters are evaluated were prescribed limits and results were within IP acceptable limits. The drug content uniformity was in between 97.90 to 99.90 %, water absorption ration were found between 51 to 80% and wetting time between 13 to 61 sec. Rapid disintegration within several minutes was observed in all the formulations. The in-vitro disintegration time of fast dissolving tablets were found to be 17 to 71 sec. which is in the range of fulfilling the official requirements. By the addition of superdisintegrants the disintegration time increased significantly (P<0.05) tablets prepared.IR spectral analysis the pure drug characteristic absorption bands of formulations absorption bands have shown all most same range. As there is no variation and shift in the position of characteristic absorption bands it can be justified there is no interaction between drug and polymer. The DSC results shows that there was no drug interaction with the formulation additives of the tablet, drug. After three month the tablets were again analyzed for the hardness, friability and disintegration time. Short term stability studies on the formulations indicated that there are no significant changes in hardness, friability and dispersion time (p<0.05). The above results concluded that, although differences existed between the superdisintegrants, the fast dissolving Valsartan tablets could be prepared by using any of the superdisintegrants used. Among all the formulation DCP4 (6 % CP) were found to be promising and showed a disintegration time of 17 sec, 50 % of drug released in 7.52 min, and 90 % of drug released in 12.60 min.
Application Of Utilizing Series Inverter By Simultaneous Voltage Sag/swell And Load Reactive Power Compensation

The series inverter of UPQC is controlled to perform simultaneous voltage sag/swell compensation and load reactive power sharing with the shunt inverter. The active power control approach is used to compensate voltage sag/swell and is integrated with theory of power angle control (PAC) of UPQC to co ordinate the load reactive power between the two inverters. Since the series inverter simultaneously delivers active and reactive powers, this concept is named as UPQC-S (S for complex powers). A detailed mathematical analysis, to extend the PAC approach for UPQC-S, is presented in this project. MATLAB/SIMULINKbased simulation results are discussed to support the developed concept. Finally, the proposed concept is validated with a digital signal processorbased experimental study.

Usually, security designs provide a hop-by-hop security paradigm and are vulnerable to many types of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, such as report disruption and selective forwarding, puts data availability at stake. In this paper, we overcome these vulnerabilities for large-scale static WSN"s by using Location aware multifunctional key management framework. Sensors will be deployed in some area in a grid type model and knows its position based on X and Y coordinates in the grid. Further, embed the location information of each sensor into few of its secret keys which are owned by that sensor node and location-aware property effectively limits the impact of compromised nodes only to their vicinity without affecting end-to-end data security. This framework assures both node-to-sink and node-to-node authentication along the report forwarding routes and demonstrates that this design is highly resilient against an increasing number of compromised nodes and effective in energy savings by avoiding DoS attacks.

A target protein is druggable if it has the potential to bind the drug-like molecules. Hence kinase inhibitors need to be studied to understand the specificity of a kinase inhibitor in choosing a particular kinase target. In this paper we focus on human kinase drug target sequences since kinases are known to be potential drug targets. Also we do a preliminary analysis of kinase inhibitors in order to study the problem in the protein-ligand space in future. The identification of druggable kinases is treated as a classification problem in which druggable kinases are taken as positive data set and non-druggable kinases are chosen as negative data set. The classification problem is addressed using machine learning techniques like support vector machine (SVM) and decision tree (DT) and using sequence-specific features. One of the challenges of this classification problem is due to the unbalanced data with only 48 druggable kinases available against 509 non-drugggable kinases present at Uniprot. The accuracy of the decision tree classifier obtained is 57.65 which is not satisfactory. A two-tier architecture of decision trees is carefully designed such that recognition on the non-druggable dataset also gets improved. Thus the overall model is shown to achieve a final performance accuracy of 88.37. To the best of our knowledge, kinase druggability prediction using machine learning approaches has not been reported in literature.
