Adolescents are now digital natives, increasingly using online platforms not only to consume content, but also to engage in creative self-presentation and social interaction. This study examines how social media can act as an alternative digital sketchbook, offering both opportunities and risks for developing an artistic identity as an adolescent. This paper explores through qualitative interviews with art educators and young artists, content analysis of student art posts on social media, and case studies of school-based digital art projects, how social media affects artistic production, peer feedback and emotional validation. The findings suggest that, while these platforms broaden creative exposure and encourage experimentation, they also raise concerns about performativity, comparability and digital fatigue. The study concludes with recommendations to integrate social media literacy into art education to promote critical engagement, emotional resilience and responsible self-expression.

From ancient gurukul systems to modern digital art institutions, the evolution of Indian art education has been shaped by historical, political, and technological changes. This paper explores the historical trajectory of Indian art education, analyzing its key milestones and their impact on artistic learning and practice today. The study begins by examining the role of traditional art education in ancient India, where artistic knowledge was passed down through oral traditions and apprenticeship systems within temple workshops and royal courts. The Mughal and colonial periods brought new artistic influences and institutional changes, including the establishment of formal art schools such as the Government College of Art in Calcutta (1854). These institutions introduced Western academic methods, altering indigenous artistic traditions. Post-independence, Indian art education shifted towards a fusion of traditional and modern approaches, with institutions like Kala Bhavana (Santiniketan) promoting experimental and indigenous artistic expressions. The emergence of contemporary art education has been further influenced by globalization, technology, and interdisciplinary learning, with digital tools and AI reshaping artistic pedagogy. This paper highlights the continuing relevance of art education in India, emphasizing its role in cultural preservation, creative industries, and personal development. As the education system evolves, balancing traditional artistic practices with modern innovations is crucial to fostering artistic excellence and cultural identity in the 21st century. By understanding the historical evolution of Indian art education, educators and policymakers can develop more inclusive and adaptive curricula that support creative thinking and artistic innovation in a rapidly changing world.

This paper explores the applications, benefits, and limitations of art therapy in educational settings, highlighting its role in fostering emotional intelligence, social skills, and cognitive growth among students. Art therapy provides a unique, non-verbal avenue for students to express emotions, overcome trauma, and build self-esteem. It enhances critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity while fostering inclusivity for neurodiverse and differently-abled students. Research indicates that incorporating art therapy in classrooms can improve emotional regulation, reduce stress, and enhance academic performance by creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. Furthermore, it aids in developing fine motor skills and visual-spatial intelligence, which are crucial for early childhood and special education. Despite these advantages, limitations exist. The integration of art therapy into mainstream education is often hindered by a lack of trained professionals, curriculum constraints, and insufficient funding. Additionally, standardized assessment methods struggle to measure the therapeutic and academic impact of art-based interventions. Ethical concerns, including the need for confidentiality and emotional safety, further complicate its implementation in schools. This paper examines both empirical studies and theoretical perspectives to evaluate art therapy's potential as a transformative educational tool. It also discusses recommendations for addressing its limitations, such as policy changes, teacher training programs, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ultimately, while art therapy presents significant benefits for student well-being and academic achievement, its efficacy depends on structured implementation and institutional support. Background: Art therapy has gained recognition as an effective educational tool that enhances students' emotional, cognitive, and social development. Rooted in psychological and educational theories, it provides a creative outlet for self-expression, emotional regulation, and problem-solving. In classrooms, art therapy is particularly beneficial for students with learning disabilities, anxiety, or trauma, fostering inclusivity and engagement. Despite its advantages, the integration of art therapy in education faces challenges such as limited resources, lack of trained professionals, and difficulties in measuring its impact. This study explores the benefits and limitations of art therapy as an educational tool, highlighting its potential to improve learning outcomes while addressing implementation barriers. Materials and Methods: This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative research methods to explore the benefits and limitations of art therapy as an educational tool. Conclusion: By recognizing art therapy as more than just an extracurricular activity but as a transformative educational tool, institutions can move towards a more inclusive and emotionally enriching learning experience for all students.

INTRODUCTION Childhood is a critical period for cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development, and art has long been recognized as a fundamental tool in fostering these aspects. From early scribbles to structured creative activities such as painting, music, dance, and drama, artistic expression provides children with unique opportunities to explore their imagination, communicate emotions, and develop essential life skills. However, despite its well-documented benefits, the role of art in childhood development is often overlooked in favor of more traditional academic subjects. This paper seeks to bridge this gap by providing a comprehensive, multi-perspective analysis of how art contributes to a child's holistic growth. Artistic activities stimulate cognitive functions, enhancing problem-solving abilities, spatial awareness, and memory retention. From a psychological standpoint, engaging in creative expression helps children develop emotional intelligence, self-regulation, and resilience by providing a means of processing and expressing feelings. Additionally, social interactions in artistic settings encourage collaboration, empathy, and communication skills, reinforcing positive interpersonal behaviors.

The promise and constraints of AI-driven aesthetic judgment in monitoring and analyzing an artist's creative development are examined in this study. We investigate how AI systems evaluate style, composition, and visual development across artistic bodies of work by utilizing machine learning approaches like generative algorithms and convolutional neural networks. This study assesses how AI may assist with portfolio building, exhibition curation, and self-reflective practices through practical applications and in-depth case studies of modern artists. AI is capable of identifying stylistic changes and visual patterns, but it is not as good at comprehending cultural context, emotional resonance, or philosophical depth-all of which are essential components of creative development. We provide a hybrid paradigm that offers more collaborative, nuanced assessments by fusing human criticism with algorithmic analysis. The purpose of this article is to facilitate an informed discussion among artists, curators, and educators regarding the moral and practical ramifications of letting machines contribute to the interpretation of creative progress.

Ancient India's Use of Seals: A Descriptive Study, 2025

This study summarizes the various applications of seals in ancient India by combining scholarly interpretations, archaeological discoveries, and epigraphic data to demonstrate their complex functions. Seals, which frequently bore elaborate inscriptions and imagery denoting ownership, trade links, or official roles, functioned as marks of identification, authority, and commerce. Steatite carvings with mysterious lettering and animal patterns on Indus seals suggest a highly developed trading network that extended throughout Mesopotamia and beyond. Later seals, such as those from the Mauryan and Gupta eras, illustrate how government, religious symbolism, and bureaucratic uniformity evolved over time. To shed light on regional influences and technological advancements, this study also examines the materials, craftsmanship, and stylistic variations of these seals. Through a critical engagement with primary sources and archaeological data, this study clarifies the significance of seals in understanding ancient Indian urban design, economic organization, and political administration. Additionally, it explores how the usage of seals has changed and remained consistent over time, establishing links between historical and pre-modern customs. The study emphasizes the necessity of further multidisciplinary research to unravel unresolved mysteries, particularly the undeciphered Indus script, which remains a major enigma in South Asian history. By highlighting the significance of seals as cultural artifacts that encode historical narratives beyond their administrative functions, this comprehensive review advances our understanding of ancient Indian society. The paper's conclusion underscores the implications of these findings for future linguistic and archaeological research.

This comparative analysis examines the differences in access, quality, curriculum, and pedagogical methods of art education in rural and urban India. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and observational analysis, to assess how geographic location influences art education outcomes. Findings indicate that urban areas benefit from well-equipped institutions, trained educators, and exposure to contemporary artistic movements, fostering creativity and career opportunities in the arts. In contrast, rural schools often face challenges such as inadequate funding, lack of specialized teachers, and limited access to materials, which hinder the growth of art education. However, rural regions maintain strong traditional and folk art practices, which serve as cultural assets despite the lack of formal training. The study also explores government policies, non-governmental initiatives, and community-led efforts to bridge the gap between rural and urban art education. It highlights successful case studies where interventions-such as digital platforms, community-driven art projects, and mobile art labs-have improved accessibility in rural regions. This research underscores the need for policy reforms, increased investment, and innovative educational strategies to create an equitable art education system in India. The paper concludes by suggesting a hybrid approach that integrates modern educational methodologies with traditional art forms to enhance learning experiences across both rural and urban settings.

The constructivist approach has important implications for teaching and learning. If individuals construct their understanding of the world through action, then there is no way to simply teach or give students knowledge. Student or learner-centered education has its origins in constructivist developmental theory and in the progressive education movement in the early part of the 20th century. Constructivism refers to the idea that individuals construct their understanding of the world as a product of their actions on the world. Modular art teaching perhaps shall give a teacher the opportunity to share all possible subjects touching creativity, imagination and appreciating art experience and plan his lessons according to the class potential and need of the students and to make him a lifelong leaner.
