The sources of their food are entirely of natural origin. Although they live in a nomadic way, they still maintain and protect the nature around them in order not to damage and become extinct. This research aims to explore ecological literacy (eco-literacy) and local wisdom of Aboriginal people to maintain a mutual symbiosis between man and nature, reflected in a non-fiction book entitled Welcome to My Country written by Laklak Burarrwanga and Family. This is descriptive qualitative research using the ecocriticism approach. The result shows that Australian Aboriginal people have much knowledge of eco-literacy that they apply in everyday life to maintain the sustainability of the ecosystem. Besides, they also have local wisdom they believe will bring good things in their life in terms of protecting their natural environment.

Netizens are currently vigorously intricate in creating and publishing the information through internet and just being consumers of media texts. However, the increased freedom that netizens now have in their roles as authors, publishers, and creators can result in communication issues, particularly when interpreting texts, which can cause social unrest. The symbolic interaction through language, as internet users chat messages individually or in groups, can occasionally lead to misunderstandings and conflicts because there is not a common understanding. The study aims to evaluate the level of digital literacy of netizens in reading, creating, and publishing messages in social media texts. This study addressed the followings questions: (1) What knowledge and skills in digital citizenship are necessary for effective use of digital media? (2) How do symbolic interactions affect the interaction of online users when using social media as readers, writers, and text creators? (3) What are the problems found in reading, creating, and publishing messages by internet users? A qualitative descriptive method was used to provide a thorough overview of the topic to shed light on these problems. Online surveys, field research, and observations were used to gather the data. It was done using a semiotic strategy with a particular emphasis on symbolic interaction. The results emphasize the significance of netizens possessing four essential components of digital literacy of skills, ethics, culture, and digital safety, to successfully fulfil their roles as text consumers, producers, and publishers on social media platforms. Additionally, the study created a model to depict how netizens symbolically interacted while conversing on social networking sites.

Women are formed by their community, where they are against discrimination. Moreover, the prejudices reveal language use, including in literary works. Monkey Grip by Helen Garner tells about a woman's condition and feeling for a man. This study aims to elaborate on feminism and stylistics, especially in identifying Australian female authors. By using stylistic analysis, this study revealed that man character dominated the woman character in conversation and did not care about his partner's feelings. Although the female character knew it, she was afraid to fight because of the male's domination and her love.

Different messages may be interpreted differently due to symbolic exchanges between social media users. This paper examines how message meaning relates to current social media challenges. The data used to address the issue was obtained from an online survey of social media users, and the semiotics method was employed (denotation and connotation). This study concludes that people who utilize social media have a higher propensity to read the news and become more authentic by sharing it. To read social media text messages denotatively has ideological consequences for users and connotative implications. Social media messaging's ideological impact creates the purpose of action (change of view on an issue, for example, COVID-19 vaccination). This paper contributes to digital media literacy, which develops critical thinking abilities based on digital knowledge by choosing to read news content. Besides, this paper contributes to the capacity to critically create content based on digital culture (positive news content) and offer critical commentary based on digital ethics (politeness in providing language). This article discusses the benefits and importance of news content comments and the ability to share news content critically based on digital safety by safely evaluating information before sharing it.

Studies in this field are mostly on how second language writers could overcome writing hurdles, including writing and selfregulated strategies. Through previous literature, thematic data analyses, and cross-tabulation, this study aimed to inspect participants' writing strategy use and their perception of how these strategies affect their writing. These results showed that the participants expressed low self-efficacy based on their preference to use non-self-regulated than self-regulated strategies. The analysis also indicated a need for second language writers to write accurately due to writing anxiety. Additionally, the findings showed the need for self-regulated strategy-based instruction for second language writing.

The phenotype is characterised by its severity and rapid disease progression. Gene therapy using adeno-associated viral vectors is currently the most promising therapeutic approach. However, the construction of a stable vector encoding the full-length RPGR transcript has previously proven to be a limiting step towards gene therapy clinical trials. Recently however, a codon optimised version of RPGR has been shown to increase the stability and fidelity of the sequence, conferring a therapeutic effect in murine and canine animal models. Areas covered: This manuscript reviews the natural history of X-linked retinitis pigmentosa and the research performed from the discovery of the causative gene, RPGR, to the preclinical testing of potential therapies that have led to the initiation of three clinical trials. Expert opinion: X-linked retinitis pigmentosa is an amenable disease to be treated by gene therapy. Codon optimisation has overcome the challenge of designing an RPGR vector without mutations, and with a therapeutic effect in different animal models. With the RPGR gene therapy clinical trials still in the early stages, the confirmation of the safety, tolerability and potency of the therapy is still ongoing.

This mutualism symbiosis is based on a relationship of use for mutual prosperity. Living together with nature means living in cooperation, mutual help and tolerance. The whole relationship becomes an inseparable entity; all things are interrelated and functional and have the same goal of protecting and preserving nature. Protecting the environment is key to the survival of fragile ecosystems, wildlife, and even humankind. However, the endless human needs often make humans act excessively, exploiting the environment as much as possible to meet the needs of life, resulting in severe environmental damage. This is the rationale for raising the theme of environmental conservation through literary media by referring to the concept and theory of eco-literature. The whole research is conducted using a qualitative descriptive method that focuses on content analysis, revealing the concept of...

With the flow of information through social media lasting for 24 hours, media users can bring up the cultural consumption of information. The main problem in this context is the meaning of social media texts by media users. This paper explores the meanings of social media texts, which give birth to a cultural consumption of information. The problem that is posed is what kind of cultural consumption is found and how readers interpret text messages on social media. Data collection was conducted through the use of a questionnaire distributed online to social media users, and the approach used was media semiotics. This paper concludes that media users who have roles as readers, publishers, and producers of social media texts have a higher tendency to read information and ways to actualize themselves as active media users. The higher reading interest in various information leads to the use of different social media and has developed potential problems with the meaning of text messages between users. This study contributes to the importance of increased culture in digital media literacy by having a critical attitude towards various pieces of information.
