
Basem Koudsi
Dr. Koudsi is a scientist and specialized in Sexual Medicine, he is the Medical Director for Koudsi Clinic in Bahrain. Currently he is working on a new application for his tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) discovery on limiting ischemia reperfusion injury on the island cell during harvesting, processing, encapsulation and transplantation for human islands cell and pig islands cell as xenograft. At the same time, he is studying the new molecule similar to TFPI which was discovered recently for its efficacy in limiting ischemia reperfusion injury, prior to that he was the Medical Director for Boston Medical Group specialized in treating male sexual dysfunction in the Gulf, Dr. Koudsi was a consultant for Philogenesis, the company that was making CorograftTM–D Bovine Coronary Bypass Xenograft. Dr. Koudsi was the Senior Vice President of BioScience Resources a Consulting Company Helping Developing counties establishing research collaboration with the pharmaceutical industries and " He was formerly the President and COO of BioLicense.com Marketplace for Biotech and Pharmaceutical Technologies in the US. Prior to joining BioLicense.com, Dr. Koudsi was a Consultant for Neocrin, working on "island cell transplantation as a therapeutic modality for diabetes." Dr. Koudsi moved to Washington University School of Medicine the fifth best university in the US, Barnes Hospital which is the second best hospital in the US, in St. Louis, MO. where he became the Director of Microsurgery Research
