The problems posed by the SDGs affect every business. The SDGs are inextricably linked to the three pillars of business sustainability. The stakeholder method is used in this research article to build organic links between the triple bottom line (TBL) approach and the SDGs. India is dedicated to the United Nations SDGs. Attaining the SDGs by 2030 could be essential to the Indian public and private enterprises. The proposed SDG-TBL paradigm advances theoretical knowledge of the elements driving corporate adoption of the SDGs. The ramifications for scholars and practitioners are also discussed in this article.

This can be due to an increasing knowledge of the environment's implications and a desire to safeguard the world. Based on a review of prior research, this study explored the influence of corporate sustainability reporting systems on business performance. Even though many studies have studied this link in the past, there seems to be an absence of uniformity in the conclusions. The study's findings have been unpredictable and conflicting, ranging from favourable to unfavourable associations, to statistically irrelevant or combined results, depending on a variety of factors such as value higher than expected gains, shareholders viewing sustainability efforts as a cost item, investors not acknowledging disclosure, companies that use reporting as a validation tool for reputation, inadequate regulatory action, sustainability reporting metrics selection, and financial reporting metrics. We did note, however, that most data indicated a favourable association. This study attempts to critically review existing research to focus future research and provide more consistent and trustworthy results. This inquiry looked at 35 pieces of literature and revealed 13 studies that had beneficial results, eight studies that had strong negative impacts, five studies that had no significant association, and nine articles that had mixed findings. Sustainability reporting requirements, legislation, and standards are likewise anticipated to grow more stringent and compulsory in the not-too-distant future. Consequently, corporations should begin reporting on sustainability as soon as practicable to prevent regulatory action in the future. The credibility of sustainability reporting is another key challenge that must be addressed. To overcome this problem, organizations should have their sustainability reports independently assessed by renowned assurance firms such as KPMG, EY, and others, to create a reputation among stakeholders as trusted reporters. Without the trust and confidence of its stakeholders, a business will not be able to operate.

It has revealed how many of our current habits and systems are inherently unstable. While the crisis continues to shock the world, it has also encouraged innovative thinking and forced businesses and leaders to rethink and redesign their success methods. Companies can expect more scrutiny as they prepare to transition to a post-COVID-19 environment from experienced minds interested in the new potential for organizational efficiency and resilience. Sustainability reporting is more critical than ever before to develop trust among all stakeholders. Businesses worldwide, including India, are being inspected in the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak. The crisis has brought to light the need for transparency and long-term planning in business development. The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on sustainability reporting decision-making is discussed in this article and what companies may do to avoid adverse outcomes. During the COVID-19 outbreak, this article will emphasize the necessity of sustainability reporting. It evaluates the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) framework, which is designed to serve as a best-practice reference for sustainability reporting in terms of its applicability to COVID-19 problems and, more generally, crisis-related issues. Three major reporting theories are used to study the COVID-19 interactions and the GRI framework: institutional, stakeholder, and legitimacy theories. This study looks at the viability of an effective sustainability reporting system and its role in boosting responses to the current COVID-19 scenario.
