When the changes in response have a double sigmoid growth pattern, it is convenient to employ a double sigmoid growth model to be able to describe the data well. In this paper, new double sigmoidal growth curves are presented based on the Burr Type XII distribution. In addition, for modeling the proposed curves, the procedure of summation of two single sigmoidal growth curves is considered. The proposed models namely the double Burr Type XII-logistic sigmoid growth model and the modified double Burr Type XII-logistic sigmoid growth model. Furthermore, to estimate the parameters of the proposed models, the non-linear least squares and the maximum likelihood methods are used. Moreover, a simulation study and an application are carried out to examine the performance of the proposed models compared to some classical double sigmoid growth models. The results indicate that the proposed model, modified double Burr Type XII-logistic sigmoid growth model is superior to the other existing models.

Distribution of (169) nurses in five different hospitals is as follows (15%) from Gaffer Ibnaouf, (7 %) from Abdurrahman Al Mahdi, (44%) from Mohammed Alamein Hamed Pediatric Hospital, (17%) from Ahmed Gassim and (17%) from AlBulk pediatric hospital. This study is aimed to assess the impact of an educational program for nurses on how to manage pain in children. Methodology: Data was collected by interviewing candidates using questionnaires that covered objectives under study and Data was analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) computer program. Results: The deficits in pain management can be improved by implementing pain education programs. Nurses scored low in having knowledge and attitudes towards pain prior to pain education; whereas, a significant improvement in their knowledge and attitude after the delivery of pain education was explicit. Conclusion: The deficits in pain management can be improved by implementing pain education programs.

In (1970) Hoerl and Kennard introduced an alternative estimation approach which is called the ridge regression (RR) estimator. In RR approach, ridge parameter plays an important role in the parameter estimation. Many researchers are suggested various methods for determining the ridge parameter for the RR approach and the ygeneralized their methods to be applicable for the logistic ridge regression (LRR) model. Schaeffer et al. (1984) was the first who proposed a LRR estimator. In this article, new methods for choosing the ridge parameter for logistic regression (LR) are proposed. The performance of the proposed methods are evaluated and compared with other models that having different previously suggested ridge parameter through a simulation study in terms of mean square error (MSE). The developed technique in this communication seems to be very ...

In this article, Marshall-Olkin extended Burr type XII (MOEBXII) distribution is introduced. Properties of MOEBXII distribution are studied and analyzed. Based on complete sample, maximum likelihood and Bayesian estimators of the parameters are derived. Application to a real data set is carried out to illustrate the flexibility of the model.

In this paper, Covid-19 will be studied statistically point of view depending on the recovery cases in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the interval of (20 March to 20 August 2020). A power odd generalized exponential Lomax distribution has been considered. Some mathematical properties of the distribution are studied. The method of maximum likelihood and maximum product of spacings are used for estimating the model parameters. Also 95% asymptotic confidence intervals for the estimates of the parameters are derived. A simulation study was conducted to evaluate the numerical behavior of the estimates. The proposed methods are utilized to find estimates of the parameters of power odd generalized exponential Lomax distribution for the recovery cases of corona virus in Egypt.

The different shapes are, Quonset shape (SD1), gableeven-span (SD2) and pyramid shape (SD3). The three solar dryers was designed and installed at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Suez Canal University (latitude angle of 30.62°, longitude angle 32.27° and 5m above the sea level) during September 2015. The tested dryers were operated under three different air velocities of 0.5, 1, 1.5 m/s. The thermal performance analysis of the dryers was conducted based on the thermal balance equations. The obtained results revealed that, overall thermal efficiency for the three different solar dryers (SD1, 2 and 3) were (55.6, 52.2 and 51.1%), (62.04, 58.6 and 57.1%) and (50.6, 47.6 and 46.2%) at air velocity of 0.5, 1, 1.5 m/s, respectively. The predicted heat energy for the three solar driers was found to be very close with that measured during the experimental period. From the three different shapes, the study recommended that the Quonset shape (SD1) is the best shape solar dryer due to largest surface area which observed greatest amount of solar radiation, increased solar energy and drying air temperature.

Methodology : data was collected by interviewing candidates using questionnaire covered objectives understudy and Data was analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) computer program. Results : The age of final year's medical student in AL-Neelain University 2019 from 18-20 years were (2.8%) then from (20-23) years were (85.7%) and more than 23 years were (11.5 %.). Found that most of them were young in graduate age,(62.9%) of students did not attend courses about pain assessment and management in children and (61.5%) of students had poor knowledge about factors affecting pain assessment in children. Conclusion : student knowledge about pain...

Maximum likelihood and Jackknife methods are used to estimate the new model parameters for censored data. Martingale and deviance residuals are obtained to check model assumptions, data validity, and detect outliers. Moreover, global influence is used to detect influential observations. Monte Carlo simulation study is provided to compare the performance of the maximum likelihood and jackknife estimators for different sample sizes and censoring percentages. The empirical distribution of the martingale and deviance residuals of the proposed model is examined. A real lifetime heart transplant data is analyzed under the log-Fréchet regression model to illustrate the satisfactory results of the proposed model.
