Identity reshaping as an epistemological prerequisite for research” delves into the impact of virtual reality on identity creation and self-expression. It emphasizes the need for social scientists to conduct phenomenological analysis before virtual fieldwork, raising questions about data validity in this unique environment. The author suggests using an ‘a priori’ intellectual lens to navigate potential distortions, incorporating both ‘etic’ and ‘emic’ perspectives.

Always rooted in the prejudices widespread in the society, the nature and reasons of such behaviour depend both on the way in which society and its institutions are structured, and on collective representations and cultural patterns. The marginalisation or discrediting practices of the "weak" (women, elderly or disabled individuals) or of promoting a model of citizen with a certain cultural profile, physical aspect, and socio-professional condition involves, inherently, the existence of a part of population that is excluded to a certain extent. This paper presents the opinions of Romanians regarding minorities in general, and about their access to labour market, being the outcome of analysing data resulting from a 2011 survey.

Our main goal is to show how important is the role of social media in spontaneous solidarities and the way in which an extreme speech regarding the role and place of religion and state as allegedly responsible institutions for such tragedies can emerge in this environment. Material and methods. An assessment has been carried out on different social network platforms, among which we chose to present Facebook examples, regarding the attitudes of concerned citizens towards three tragic events that occurred in 2015 in France and Romania. It is also shown the responses of the authorities' to the social media echo of these events. Results. Even if not widespread, radical attitudes emerge in times of crisis and can leave a trace on future dominant social behavior. Conclusions. Unfortunately, the most powerful impact in social media, as in the mainstream one, is caused by the "terrible news". The emotional complex surrounding this kind of events varies from despair to anger and sometimes develops into extreme speech.

This article draws attention to some important considerations in the study of an online identity. Becoming a part of the virtual reality, sets the stage for the opportunity of others who are more or less familiar to us in the real world. Material and methods. The use of ethnographic method through interviews and participant observation remains actual even when dealing with the aspects of cyberspace study. An in-depth discussion of the epistemological and methodological challenges of studying the online activity, especially the social media becomes necessary. Results. Participants to virtual reality forge their own persona-s. It is a complex construct of objective technological requirements and subjective semantic preferences. These features are to be taken into consideration before and after carrying out a research of the online activity. Conclusions. Online environments provide new challenges for reconsidering the intersubjectivity in its most phenomenological sense. It is difficult to say whether virtual reality is facilitating the creation of new persona-s or just the surfacing of the inner most uninhibited ones. Nevertheless, it provides social scientists with the opportunity to grasp and intellectually digest new the fruits of most novel forms of sociabilities facilitated by the digital interaction.

Geert Hofstede and Philippe d'lribarne developed this idea in their works. The research I propose hereby compares the perceptions of work conditions related to the speeding of globalisation process and is based on several interviews with salaried employees in French and Romanian multinational enterprises. France is confronted with anti-globalization movements (ATAC) and de-location of factories in favour of lower wedge countries, like Romania where foreign direct investment is rejected by ,,old-fashioned" workers. The main object of the research is to present the way in which an MNE employee sees his/her professional and social position and future related to the cultural adaptation of work habits to foreign managerial styles and imported technologies. The main hypothesis is that depending on decisions and innovations brought from abroad, can give an increased sense of employment insecurity, unacceptable to some people even if it means efficiency, profit and bigger incomes. The employment analysis in MNE-s touches several dimensions as cross-cultural interactions, resistance to innovation, educational adaptation, State's authority, unions influence, and consequently firm's prestige, organisational pressure, individualism and adjustment to corporate and business culture.

In the last ten years, the information society has become an expanding reality. There are countless possibilities for communication and exchanges of ideas, including among scientists, such as: forums, blogs, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), text, audio and video conferencing applications (WhatsApp, Windows Live, Skype, etc.). The main objective of this study is to highlight, through the ethnographic method (observation and interviews), the study of the initiation and organization of virtual communities that manifest in the public space through protest movements. It aims also to point out the role that socialization platforms have in forming spontaneous solidarities and in shaping the civic engagement.
